COBBLERS IN HIS 70S STRUGGLING TO SUPPORT WIFE AND SICK SON

A woman posted on Facebook trying to get people to support an elderly man who is pedalling as a cobbler outside Holland Village MRT. The man is in his 70s and yet he is still trying very hard to work daily to support his wife and sick son.

Here is the post:

I am trying my luck in putting up this post.

I read about this uncle in his 70s.. peddling as a cobbler outside Holland V MRT / outside Crystal Jade.

He’s in his 70s and needs to support his wife and son (seems like depression disorder). It’s so cheap to simply get a new pair of shoes these days. Few visit these cobblers whom probably our grandparents used to. It’s a dying trade. So who’s gonna help these older generations who might only know this only trade all their lives?

I really wanna support him and hence went to get my daughter’s heels mended. While mending her shoes I see uncles hands shaky while holding on to the sharp knives. I feel sad seeing this.

I asked if his business improved after the news. He says 一点啦 with exasperation..I walked away, turn back and see uncle staring into space again.

Pls help uncle if u can.. it may just mean 1 less meal in a restaurant for many of us

SG GOES BACK TO PHASE 2, 22 JULY TO 18 AUGUST. NO DINE IN

Earlier today the Multi-Ministry Task Force announced that all F &B Dine-in will be prohibited from July 22 to August 18.

Lawrence Wong said that these measures will be reviewed again after two weeks. He said “please stay home” to minimise social interactions.

Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong said dining in will not be allowed in this period.

Mr Gan said: “We know that this news is extremely disappointing and frustrating to many, in particular for businesses in sectors such as F&B. These sectors have been very badly hit given the earlier restrictions, and have been working very hard to adapt to the changing regulations.”

Returning to Phase 2

The group size will be reduced from five to two and implementing mandatory SafeEntry check-in at hawker centres and wet markets.

Services that require the mask will also be restricted such as facials or saunas

Maximum event size down from 250 pax to 100 pax and there is a need for pre-event testing.

The Ministry said:

“Unlike the KTV cluster, which had spread first amongst younger population segments, the current wave of infection affects a wider spectrum of the population including many seniors. At the current rate of transmission, it is likely that infection cases will rise sharply, and many people in the community will catch the virus.”

Mr Gan added that this announcement will be “a huge setback” to those who are following to rules to keep the country safe and they are appreciated. Once the vaccination rates are higher and the clusters controlled Singapore will start reopening again.

MOM TAKES ACTION AGAINST 66 COMPANIES NOT COMPLYING WITH SAFETY MEASURES

According to the Ministry of Manpower(MOM), working at home is the default setting for those that are possible. However, there are still many companies that think very backwards that working in the office is better.

Here is what MOM posted on Facebook,

“With the number of locally transmitted cases on the rise, limiting interactions in public spaces such as workplaces is critical to reducing the risk of COVID-19 transmission. The Ministry would like to remind all employers that work-from-home remains the default today.

This means that employers must allow all employees who are able to work from home to do so. For employees who are unable to work from home due to the nature of their work or when employees are required to return to the workplace on an ad hoc basis for work that cannot be done from home, employers should clearly explain to these employees why they are required to be back at the workplace.

We also encourage employees to clarify their concerns with their employer.Since the start of Phase 2 (Heightened Alert) on 16 May 2021, MOM has received over 3500 pieces of feedback relating to workplace SMM.

Some of this feedback could have been averted if employers had made adjustments to allow their employees to work from home or communicated their operational needs clearly.

Arising from this feedback, our investigations led to enforcement actions against 66 companies for failing to comply with SMM at workplaces. We need everyone’s cooperation to break the chains of transmission and keep Singapore safe and healthy.”

GIRL SAYS GUYS CANNOT LAST LONG IN BED, NOT FAIR TO GIRLS

A girl who said that she was not satisfied is in need of high performance men that can make her happy in bed. She stated that the level of enjoyment women receives is unbalnced when compared to men.

Here is her story:

Guys are often bewitched by the good figures of the opposite sex because these physical traits of slim body, big busts, long legs and big hip can be really sexually stimulating.

I find this rather sad for us ladies that even if we get turn on by good-looking/muscular men, we can never know about their real sexual performance in bed. So many times.

I got schemed by “how monster they can be under the sheets” and later only turned out to be a couple minutes of brief enjoyment. They love to pull out this “you are too hot” explanation to defend themselves. You see the difference?

However attractive they are, I don’t get to experience the same level of excitement once their tools couldn’t operate anymore. While I get disappointed over such encounters, it’s those dudes who are skinny or less flattering in their looks surprise me the most during the deeds.

Sometimes I even think back and revisit the scenes of our intimate engagements. So please do not judge if you see a couple with mismatching appearance…. especially for guys… they might perform better than your 2/10 wiener!
