WOMAN’S KIDS ALL GROWN UP, SHE FEELS LOST & DOESN’T KNOW WHO SHE IS ANYMORE

0

A woman shared how she has been a mother for the last 25 years and now that her children are all grown up, she feels lost and doesn’t know who she is anymore.

Here is the story:

41/f. I’ve been a mom for the last 25 years of my life and now that the kids are grown it’s almost like I don’t know who I am anymore.

Like me as a person. Having my first kid at 17 I dove into parenthood, stopped all the hanging out, late nights etc. that’s what you’re supposed to do is what they say.

Ok. Fast forward to age 21 had a set of twins same guy just 2 more babies. So that’s 3 by 21. Per usual I dove into the role of mom and did my duty.

Now at 41, my kids are either in university or working and living their lives and I’m just here. I try new hobbies etc but it’s almost like I’ve been “preserved” for the past 24 years.

My friends are either married or miserably single and spend their days at bottomless mimosas or nights at bars and or clubs that cater to our age group. Neither of which have ever been my thing.

I went to an adult store (nevermind why lol) but I went just to look around one night and ended up talking with the owner for a bit. He asked me this: “what makes YOU happy”.

The condition of the question is it had to be about ME not the kids or the ex but ME. Unfortunately, I couldn’t give him an answer. Smh can you imagine that?

Really thinking of yourself outside of your title of “mom” and not being able to say what makes you happy? I use to have hobbies etc that I liked to do but again I literally put it all aside and focused on my kids.

Being older now has opened my eyes to many things I’d LIKE to try but again it’s that whole mindset of well should I even bother?

Will there be people my age there or will I stick out like a sore thumb?

A lot has changed to be honest I wouldn’t even know what to wear to an actual “event” or “date”. I just stay to myself and work my job.

But that’s not living. I guess I just don’t know where to even start.”

WIFE NOT HAPPY BECAUSE HUSBAND GAVE KIDS BACON AND ICE CREAM

0

Yesterday, my wife had to go meet her mom who was sick. She’s a SAHM and our babysitter had some school work so she couldn’t come. So I took 2 days off to take care of the kid. My wife left home before the kids woke up because she had to catch a bus to her mom’s place.

My wife usually makes really really healthy food for the kids. So I thought one cheat day wouldn’t hurt them. I made eggs, bacon and waffles for breakfast.

The 13yo wanted to eat this curry that my mom makes. So I took the recipe from my mom and prepared that for lunch.

The 11yo said that he wanted burger and fries for dinner. So dinner was sorted as well.

They then wanted to watch the new spiderman movie with peanut butter ice cream. My wife doesn’t like those kinds of movies so the kids rarely get to watch them either.

So basically it was a full day of fun for the kids.

Today, I made healthy meals for the kids. Porridge and fruit for breakfast, cauliflower soup and grilled ham n cheese sandwiches for lunch.

When my wife came home at around 4 pm, she was really tired so she took a nap until dinner.

While we were prepping for dinner, the kids were sitting at the dining table and telling their mom all about yesterday. She was smiling throughout the confederation so I thought she wasn’t mad at me or anything.

However, after the kids were put to bed and we were in our room, she started saying that I’m an irresponsible father and that I shouldn’t have been so lenient with the kids for an entire day. She said that I’m a lost cause at parenting and that she shouldn’t have left the kids with me.

MAN WANTS TO YELL AT WIFE FOR “EATING SO MUCH” AFTER SHE GAINED 36KG

0

A man shared how he is sick of his wife continuously eating and he just wants to shout at her face after she gained 36kg since they got married.

Here is the story:

“This woman has gained over 80 pounds since we have been married. Since I have been home from work she ate 2 Double McSpicy meals, 4 cheese fries, a bowl of ice cream, and is currently eating chips so loudly I can hear her across the living room with the door to my office closed.

I just want to go scream in her fat face: “STOP EATING!”

I legit do not know what to do at this point. I am done putting energy into our relationship if she is not even going to take care of herself. I am sick of watching her stuff her face. Our grocery bills are out of control.

I take our child and dog out hiking every weekend, and she never comes. I go to the gym and follow a workout routine.

If she can’t get herself together, or at least show me she is trying, I am taking our son and leaving. Life is too short.

we’ve talked about this. And she was in therapy, has seen doctors, has had a nutritionist. And a personal trainer, come to think of it. At the end of the day, it’s just laziness. And her laziness affects my life and that of my child. This is not what I signed up for, and I’m mourning that loss.

Anger is a secondary emotion, I recognize that. What I’m really feeling is deep sadness about the situation. Not just for me and my dreams of what life should be, but also for her and our child. Whether or not we stay together, he’ll have to navigate his own complicated emotions towards us and our choices.

I’ve been supportive of her, tried to get her the help she needs.”

Editor’s notes: Binge eating is as much a mental addiction and coping mechanism as much as anything else.

MAN BUYS CAKE & EAT IT SECRETLY IN CAR, GETS CAUGHT BY WIFE

0

I acknowledge, as a father and husband, that a lot of things that were singularly mine before just aren’t. My wife steals my clothes, wife and kids steal my food, kids steal my phone, I’m fine with it (most of the time), but I just needed one thing to myself without hurting feelings and making someone cry because everybody is sensitive in this house….including me.

Sometimes I just want to be at a quiet place to enjoy some food but the thing is i never get my peace. Even with something as basic as eating I get disturbed all the time.

I bought a single-serve piece of cake and ate it in my car without any wife sneaking bits or kids licking the chocolate from the top. Unfortunately got caught, wife is upset with me for going so far as to eat cake while hiding in my car and called me dramatic when I told her my reasoning.

But she won’t listen and call me selfish. The thing is, I just wanted to eat something sweet to escape from the stress of life in a peaceful place.

Am I?

Here is what netizen thinks:

  • rookie mistake. Next time, eat it in the parking lot of where you bought it and use the outside trash can to throw away the evidence.

Source: My ex tried to eat everything I bought.

  • If it’s McDonald’s, also carry Febreeze. My ex was so weird with food. I remember us eating dinner one night and he cleared the table and I caught him scraping my scraps on my plate with his fingers to eat.
  • get her a piece too. But eat yours privately.
  • This is what I do. I’ve also gone and picked up food and drive to the beach and just sat there to eat in peace, with only water and no people.

PARENTS GETTING OLDER EVERY DAY, GUY DREADS THE DAY THEY PASS AWAY

0

A netizen shared about how his parents are getting older every day and he dreads the day they eventually pass away and leave him.

Here is the story:

I worry every day about my parents. They’re getting older; my mom is getting more slow and slowly losing her memory. My dad is slowing arching, and doing less and less heavy work.

They are still spry enough, my dad jogs and my mother still works. They aren’t old enough to retire, they are self sufficient.

Still I can’t deny that they are getting closer to a passing age. I am the eldest of the children, so I would be the one to deal with burying them.

I’m not sure I can deal with their death. I understand this way of thinking is ruining the time I spend with them.

I try and spend as much time as I can with them but the thought still lingers in the back of my head. My time with them will never be enough.

ROOMMATE’S BF STEAL FOOD & ALMOST DIES FROM ALLERGY BUT BLAMES OTHERS

0

Im 19 have a roommate “Kayla” of the same age, we have been roommates for almost 1 year. we have always had this shared refrigerator situation going on where we alternate every week or two on who buys the groceries, cleaning supplies, etc. But we don’t cook for each other. (very important to the story)

Well, 6months ago Kayla got a boyfriend, “Jack” (21m) who has been spending a lot of time in our flat. He would leave his mess every and when I say everywhere I really mean it. He would leave his clothes on the bathroom floor and living room floor, but the biggest issue was he would eat everything, even the things that were strictly mine i.e leftover takeout, dinners that I cooked for myself.

I’ve talked with my roommate about this multiple times and she said she would talk to him but it doesn’t really seem like she even tries to talk to him. which seems like she is enabling him to continue this behavior.

Here’s where the incident happened. Two nights ago I made myself some dinner, I was following this recipe and I was making fried chicken that had some sort of sauce that contained honey in it. ( also very important to the story). Neither I nor my roommate has any sort of allergy so I didn’t say anything to her when I made it or when I put my leftovers in Tupperware and in the fridge.

well, yesterday I got back home from work, and my roommate wasn’t home. I didn’t question it and moved on with my day. A few hours later I heard the front door open, and a few moments later my roommate enters my room and just starts yelling at me say I could’ve killed her boyfriend and how I am irresponsible, and how dare I put my food in the fridge unlabeled when her boyfriend is allergic to honey. But here’s the thing I didn’t know he was allergic to honey.

I tried explaining to her that I simply didn’t know of her boyfriend’s allergy and he should’ve never been touching my food knowing he has an allergy and could potentially be put himself in harm’s way, which he did in this situation. I also mentioned that I told her to tell him not to touch my food and she blew up on me even more saying that I am dismissing her feelings and I mentioned that she’s been dismissing mine ever since he got here. we ended the argument with me yelling at her that I’m not responsible for his allergies and she should’ve never brought him around the apartment.

I told my friend about what happened and she told that even though he was in the wrong for basically stealing my food, I should’ve never said that to my roommate because she was in a stressful situation where a loved one could’ve died now I feel bad and think I might’ve been in the wrong.

my fault?

Here is what netizens think:

  • The bf own fault . If the bf is allergic, he should not eat anything without knowing what’s in. I would label everything I make as containing honey. His fault if he gets sick.
  • He doesn’t know the ingredients yet he felt comfortable eating it. This is not your fault, it’s clearly his.
  • It does not matter what his reasons are, or her reasons. He’s there, and he’s not supposed to be. Tell her they need to find a sublet roommate for you, who is acceptable to you, and get their own place. If I was your landlord, I’d be kicking him out.

For work at higher levels, the usage of a step platform or platform ladder is highly recommended.

Workers should also protect themselves by donning a safety helmet.

The base should also be secured with guard railings on the level that is going to be accessed so that falls can be prevented.
