Beware all buyers!! Be careful when you buy furniture online!!

Seller claim they have own factory and have a big team, but in fact is from ezbuy or taobao or china.

Previously my friend buy a furniture online and never received the piece she ordered.

When issue happen, seller disappear. My friend got transfer from one department to another department (ON a SAME single user account, quinn.furniture).

My friend also found out that this seller has at least 2 accounts on Carousell selling similar furniture.

This seller 2 accounts are :

1) quinn.furniture and

2) dearie.co

Is this also possible?

Carousell only allow 1 person 1 account. And I also know 2 accounts is SAME payment mode.

When she ask on several occasions for return/exchange/refund, the seller refused and reply:

“This is carousell, I’m the seller and I can settle how I want.”

Today I saw that the seller account(s) have been suspended.

Be careful all buyers. If you do have any outstanding issues or order usually experienced by most buyers, please be careful with this particular seller(s)

My friend have been suffering by this incident for nearly 4 months and I helping her to share the painful incident.

The incident from my friend:

. Bought a sofa from carousell. Before purchase, I confirm the specs and confirm there are 6 month warranty. I made full payment to a seller called “Rachel”.

.When issue occurs, “ADI” appear, and now there a Purchase Team, Post Purchase Team, Manufacuring Team, Delivery Team and Logistics Team suddenly. I then request to speak to “Rachel”. Each transferred me using few days for weeks. And these people did not convey my message of speaking to Rachel, came and questioned me this and that. All unrelated questions. When I ask how are they able to help me in their department (since there are so many they claimed in 1 single user account), each of then can replied,

“I did not know you prefer me not speaking to u”

And another department, another person, whole cycle repeated.

This went repeated for weeks.

. Seller then edited his photo this period to include (terms and conditions) that not the item in picture will be delivered. There will be specs diff and etc etc.

. Seller later claim that I harrass his customers for finding out the “truth” about promotion period which different people gets different FREE gifts and maybe price differently.

. Seller even came up to me and warn me,

“DONT EXPECT THAT YOU WILL GET AWAY SCOT FREE” if you tell anyone.

. Seller also say “TOO BAD. THIS IS CAROUSELL, I’m the seller I CAN SETTLE HOW I WANT”

. Seller then after few emails to carousell, arrogantly claim he can do exchange but “ONLY IF I LOVELY”

. Seller told me to do these:

-change the negative feedback to 5 stars,

-made a statement that I have harassed him,

-apologise to seller and discuss more terms if I feel ready.

MAYBE by then, he will consider refund. But this is under 6 months warranty issue, why is it so difficult?

I am very scare. I do not know what more seller wants and I also know couples of buyers who encountered same emotions threat by Seller and have changed their negative feedback to 5 stars for this seller.

. Seller then claim he can do refund ALSO. But need to deduct harassment, reputation damages etc. I request for proof of harassment and damages but none were provided to me.

. But Seller DONT WANT TO LET ME OFF AT ALL. Seller leave a negative review for me also. (HOW CAN CAROUSELL LET PEOPLE LEAVE FEEDBACK AFTER ANOTHER LEFT so seller can take revenge and it’s not Fair to good buyers who waited, transferred and received the wrong item delivered)

. MY sofa is also DIRTY when received.

. subsequently, seller edited feedback at least 3 times (each time longer and longer till 3 pages and after that, seller will told me have I consider to Change my feedback to him as seller wants me to feel even worst as a buyer and he have spoken the untruth)

. Seller continue to lie to carousell and either item is settled or refund is made, however he is lying again. Seller is accusing me of lying to carousell

. Seller really like he said, he can do what he want on carousell. He knows the system too well.

. Seller know that there really nothing buyer can do on carousell, but seller got our house address and unit number

Seller can keep playing and making me very unsettled

By the way, seller have 2 account quinn.furniture and dearie.co.

Is this also possible?

I would like to share my experience regarding MIMMED Clinic at Haig Road.

On the 14/8, 12pm, I had went for an ART COVID test at MIMMED Clinic at Haig Road. I had pre-booked the slot the week before.

After the ART test, I was told to leave the premises and did not receive any news of the test until 14/8, 3pm. As advertised, the test is supposed to take only 30 minutes.

I had made multiple calls to the Haig Road branch to enquire, then only to then find out that they were closed for the day. This had caused me to miss the tea ceremony of the wedding. This has also caused considerable grief to Bride & Groom, and the direct family. I was also sitting at the VIP table as I was an direct family member of the groom.

When the Punggol branch of MIMMED CLINIC opened at 6pm, I had called them immediately. Timeline below

1 – Call went through at 6.21pm 14/8. Service provider Priscilla apologised on behalf of the Haig Road branch,

2 – Priscilla had informed us that it would take only 15 mins, and she will get back to us as soon as possible.

3 – 6.32pm, 14/8. I had called them back to enquire on the results as it has been almost 15 mins. The service provider, Priscilla, has informed us that she was unable to contact the Haig Road branch.

4 – Recieved the results at 14/8, 6.53hrs. It took them 32 minutes to send the results, instead of the 15 minutes she stated.

Although we were relieved, I had found it utterly ridiculous that it took MIMMED Clinic almost 7 hours to send me my ART (Antigen Rapid Test) results, unlike the 30min waiting period as advertised.

This error by the MIMMED team is unacceptable, as it has made the bride and groom very worried that I would have to go home due to an lapse by MIMMED Clinic.

Bride has liased with the clinic regarding the lapse in protocol. I did not receive the service as advertised for. We received the results after 7 hours, instead of the advertised 30mins wait time.

“Tino’s issue is our sincere apologies. I’ve feedback to my clinics and they will be calling him with regards.”

MIMMED Clinic refused to waive the fee, or discuss any reasonable forms of compensation for the subpar service provided.

As per MIMMED, 10.12am 25/8.

“I apologise but it’s not possible. I can only feedback for them to take note about the results being sent promptly”.

It is not an issue of my results not being sent PROMPTLY. It is the wrong word to use in this instance, as I WOULD NOT have received and WOULD NOT have been able to see my uncle get married if I did not call them over 20 times, to multiple branches. I argue the word that should be used is “Satisfactory service not provided to the customer.”

This shows the lack of effort in delivering good service recovery, and no adequate compensation being provided to the bride and groom.

MIMMED Clinic (65 67410123) had called me at 10.17am, 5 days after they had informed the bride that they will be calling me.

I had missed the call, and promptly called them back at 1.01pm, 20/8.

The service provider had informed me that her supervisor will call me back as soon as possible. However, after another 5 hours, no call had been made to me.

Screenshots to back my words are below. I am extremely upset by the lack of proper service recovery and Low-quality service. I am also upset as this matter had upset the mood at the wedding. The worry that I could have to go home and might have to not attend the wedding was harrowing.

I hope a refund can be issued to the bride for this SUBPAR UNSATISFACTORY SERVICE provided, and a formal apology to me and my family for this horrendous service and service recovery provided.

Yesterday was a rainy day and some commuters were affected after a flash flood occurred.

Look into a mirror at midnight and start combing your hair

Legend has it that doing so would open portals through the mirror, letting the other side know of your intentions.

You’re supposed to light a candle in front of the mirror, with all the lights turned off, and start combing your hair until the candle goes out.

Apparently you’re going to see a reflection in the mirror that isn’t your own.

Bend down and look between your legs

Not really sure why but it has been a long standing belief that if you look between your legs at night, you’ll see ghosts standing behind you.

I personally tried this method before but all I saw were the worried looks of people staring at me, thinking I’m an idiot.

Although you are more than welcome to give this a try, I mean what could go wrong? *sinister grin*

This is pretty much self explanatory, you are essentially opening a means of communication with any spirit passing by.

The Chinese have a belief that opening an umbrella symbolizes and invitation to ghosts to come to your place.

I was an employee of ABC Company for around 2 years though I love my job and colleague but the bosses are toxic. I thought long before deciding to leave and I thought better to just leave and not stir sh*t.

What I did next during the exit interview was one of my greatest mistake I that I made, the HR manager somehow convinced me to tell any grievances or unhappiness. I was told that I was quite an above-average performer who didn’t mind putting in the extra hours for the company.

I thought I was in a “safe” zone as I was gonna leave that day and began to reveal all the unethical and unprofessional things that happened to include why it was the reason I was out the door.

A few years later and it was discovered that the HR Manager had noted the unfavourable points and used the confidential “confessions” and used it at the company I was applying for and she even told the hiring manager to not hire me.

Fortunately, the hiring manager was a friend of mine and he told me what had happened plus I had a recommendation from the upper management so I was still able to secure a job. My advice is to never trust what your HR would say if you want to leave just leave quietly cos it’s of no benefit to tell them the truth and it may end up backfiring.
