I was supposed to join my two friends on a cruise as a celebration and I know I was kinda like a lightbulb as two of my friends was together. (Let’s call them Alan and Amy).

At the boarding center, Alan and Amy had an argument and leave before we could board the cruise and Alan did not go after her.

Alan told me that he had paid for this cruise holiday and since his girlfriend cant appreciates the trip she can enjoy her time in Singapore. I did not want to go without Amy but I had the same thought why should I burn my cruise ticket over her.

So we went along, after the cruise leave the harbor, Amy called and she expected me to leave as well. She was shocked I went ahead with her boyfriend on the cruise and started shouting at me on the phone “I thought you were my friend”. bla bla. The usual BS.

After hanging up the phone, Alan’s phone rang, and guess who. She told Alan better not to do any funny business with me or she will jump down the HDB. Alan got pissed off at her and said “hey this is a cruise, not Titanic, no need for the drama” and hang up the phone.

I laugh out and felt kind of bad afterward.

So we decided that what was done is done and we enjoyed the cruise.

As it turns out after Alan and I talked we found out that we were much more suitable with each other and we “did it”.

When the cruise ended, Amy was waiting for us at the harbor and she slapped Alan’s face, but alan managed to block it off and pushed her away before walking away.

Amy started to shout like a crazy woman and we left the place quietly pretending we did not know her.

Alan started to ask me out after the incident and I can’t of felt guilty but they are already over and we already did it.

Am i wrong to be with him?

A netizen shared how he went to Bangkok for a holiday when he was younger and he woke up one night to see a female ghost hiding behind the curtains.

Here is the story:

“When I was about 9 or 10, me and my family went to Bangkok for a holiday and booked into a hotel (forgot the name but think it was smth along the lines of ibis??).

On the last night after spending the whole day going around, we went back to the hotel and immediately went to bed.

At around 4 am, I woke up and saw my “mother” behind the curtains but I didn’t think too much about it as I was tired.

When I woke up, I saw my “mother” still standing behind the curtains but I didn’t think that anything was strange about it so I went to check the curtains, but when I was about to go behind the curtains, I heard a voice say “don’t come any closer, go away.”

As I was 9 years old, I still didnt find it strange and I said “Ma what are you doing behind the curtains?” and the figure replied “get lost”, this time in a rather harsh tone.

But she said it in a way as though she didn’t want to wake anyone up.

At that point, my mother came up to me and asked who I was talking to, and I replied “you”.

Then I told her if she was behind the curtains just now and her face went pale and told me to just go back to sleep.

The funny part is I only realised this after a few years and when I asked my mother about it, she told me that she woke up a few hours after we went to bed and went to close the curtains but when she walked back to her bed she found that the curtains were open.

and when she approached the curtains, she saw a face right behind the curtains.”

Editor’s note: One thing I always wonder about ghosts is why do they like to play hide and seek so much. Play for eternity not sian ah?

I know how the title sounds but let me explain. We all went to school together and are in our 40’s now.

In school, Jim and Kat dated and broke up several times. He cheated on her in a very school kissed another girl way at least twice that I knew of as a teen. That drama went on for most of freshman and sophomore year. They broke up, I believe and then got back together during university. He cheated again in, that time the excuse was distance as they went to schools in different states. They made up, got engaged and he cheated again after a big fight about his mother’s treatment of her. That time to be fair she had called off the engagement but not apparently the relationship.

A year or two goes by, they get engaged again and that time they got married.

Now, while I like him as a friend I would never have dated him much less married him. In my mind, once a cheat always a cheat. And we all expressed that to her when she asked back then. But it’s her life and she loved him, so if she likes it I love it was my answer after that single conversation about him not knowing how to spell faithful. They had a baby and you guessed it, he cheated again. Marriage counseling, making up, and so on. I don’t know that he ever was completely faithful but at least he stopped getting caught.

Well, their youngest is in poly and his midlife crisis is a 22 year (2 years younger than their oldest) he was mentoring. Kat is distraught and fed up and I have kept my mouth shut because I don’t have anything nice to say. She called me this weekend and wanted sympathy and I just don’t have it.

What he’s doing is wrong, but this isn’t the first time. I don’t think it is even the 5th time. She’s upset because none of us are “rallying around her” but I don’t see the point. More than likely unless he asks for a divorce she’s going to take him back. I said as much and she hung up on me.

Am I the ahole for telling her that he has always been a cheater and at some point she has to own up to her choice to keep taking him back?

According to a police release, information of the man in the photo is wanted for investigation in a case of loanshark harassment that happened on 15 December 2021.

The incident happened at  Blk 605 Senja Road.

The police are appealing for more information about the man.

22 Y.O MAN ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY TRANSMITTING OBSCENE MATERIAL ON ONLYFANS

On December 29, 2021, the police detained a 22-year-old guy for violating the Penal Code and the Criminal Procedure Code in connection with the electronic transmission of obscene content on the web platform ‘OnlyFans‘.

The Police said that they received a report that the 22-year-old has been transmitting obscene materials which contain videos and images of his KKJ (privates) on the ‘OnlyFans‘ online platform.

The Police took control of his ‘OnlyFans’ account and he was warned not to access the account as an order under Section 39(1)(d)(i) of the Criminal Procedure Code has been issued to him.

Despite the order, he contacted the administrators of OnlyFans and said that his account was stolen and reacquired access to his account, and continued publishing obscene materials on the platform with the recovered account and another separate ‘OnlyFans‘ account.

For violating the Criminal Procedure Code, he was charged and faces up to 6 months jail and/or a fine of up to $5,000

If he is found guilty of transmitting obscene material electronically he can face up to 3 months jail and/or fine.

INJURED VULTURE AT HOLLAND RD NPARKS RESCUES THE MAGNIFICENT BIRD

It is rare to see such birds in Singapore and thankfully a helpful member of the public contacted ACRES to help an injured bird.

According to a netizen, she spotted an injured vulture at Cornwall Gardens (Vicinity of Holland Rd).

Here is what she said:

The exhausted cinereous vulture now in good care of NParks was found by my spouse yesterday on the pavement in Cornwall Gardens. Hope he has a fast recovery to go back to nature.

To add: We reported this case to ACRES first and while waiting for the help to come, another wonderful and warm-hearted avid wildlife photographer contacted NPark to get rapid help. Would like to thank him here!

The netizen also uploaded a video of the struggling bird before the authorities came to help.

950,000 HDB HOUSEHOLDS IN S’PORE SET TO RECEIVE GST VOUCHER THIS MONTH

About 950,000 HDB households in Singapore are set to receive their GST Voucher (GSTV) – U-Save rebates this month (January).

This is part of the $900 million household support package that was announced during last year’s Budget 2021 that aims at providing support to families during the current uncertain period brought about by the pandemic.

The household would’ve gotten a special payment of an additional 50% of their regular GSTV – U-Save for the financial year of 2021 that was credited in April and July last year.

The regular U-Save and U-Save special payments totaled to about $460 million in rebates for this financial year.

Alongside the GSTV – U-Save special payment and the payout in January, one and two-room HDB households would’ve gotten rebates equivalent to about 4.5 to 6 months of their utility bills.

Three and four-room HDB households would’ve gotten about 1.5 to 3 months of rebates on their utility bills.

Minister of Finance Lawrence Wong will be unveiling Singapore’s Budget 2022 on 18 February.

HOTEL BOOKING SCAM, 45 Y.O MAN ARRESTED

According to the Police media release, a 45-year-old man was arrested for his alleged involvement in multiple cases of hotel room booking scams.

Background:

On 28 December 2021, the Police received a report from a victim that he/she has been created by a man and the victim did not get the promised hotel booking after payment.

Officers from Ang Mo Kio Division were able to uncover the identity of the man who arrested him in less than 6 hours.

It is believed that the man is involved in multiple of such cases.

The man was brought to court on 30 December and charged for cheating under Section 420 of the Penal Code.

Penalties

If the man is found guilty he will be facing up to 10 years jail along with a fine

Police advise

The media release warns members of the public to take precautions before making any transactions online and to only buy from authorized dealers.

MTF: AUTHORITIES LOOKING INTO LARGE NYE GATHERING AT CLARKE QUAY

The Multi-Ministry Taskforce (MTF) said earlier today that the large gathering at Clark Quay on New Year’s Eve involved “blatant breaches of safe management rules”.

They described the gatherings as a “potential superspreading event”.

Videos emerged on New Year showing hundreds and hundreds of people gathering and going wild in the street in front of Riverside Point, with a man climbing on top of a “podium” to spray champagne at everyone.

People were seen screaming and shouting as a whoppingly huge number of people present were seen with their masks pulled down.

The current permitted size for social gatherings is five persons and MTF added that the authorities and enforcement agencies are looking into the matter.

They reminded the public to exercise civic responsibility and that we are still in the middle of a pandemic crisis.
