The JEM and Westgate shopping malls will be closed from 23 May to 5 June, after Covid-19 cases visited the malls.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) are currently investigating the cases of Covid-19 infection amongst people who worked at or visited the 2 shopping malls.

At the moment, special testing operations and free swab tests are being conducted to everyone who has visited JEM and Westgate between 10 May to 14 May.

MOH’s epidemiological investigations found that there is a likelihood of ongoing transmissions among the mall-goers.

During the 2 weeks of closure, the malls will be carrying out deep cleaning of the premises to break any potential chain of transmission and carry out deep cleaning of the premises.

Persons who have visited the malls since 10 May are advised to monitor their health closely for 14 days from their date of visit.

Elly Zulkarnaen bin Jufri, an NSF, shared his remarkable story of losing 80kg over 9 months and graduating from the Specialist Cadet Course as a 3rd Sergeant, winning the Distinguished Honour Graduate along the way.

He shared that since his enlistment, and after he got into the Specialist Cadet School (SCS), he made a promise to himself that he could be a different person by the time he finished his 22-week course.

He was overweight at the time of his enlistment.

By the time he graduated, he lost a whopping 80kg and now looks lean; in addition to winning the Distinguished Honour Graduate award, which is one of the highest achievements doled out.

A Singaporean guy recently posted on Facebook after his girlfriend caught him selling away her used panties which she threw away after staying at his home. The guy stated on how it wasn’t fair as now his girlfriend is forcing him to split the profits with her.

My girlfriend stays over at my place sometimes and she’d use disposable panties whenever she does that. Something she doesn’t know is that after she leaves, I’d take her used panties to sell on Carousell to those pervertic guys who buy girls’ used underwear to sniff.

It’s actually quite lucrative and the amount I sell them for ($5) makes it such that I’m able to buy a fresh pack of disposable undies for her to wear and subsequently sell again. I think I’m a genius for thinking of this.

However, recently she was using my phone and found out that I was selling her used panties! She was super angry and demanded that I split the profits with her. I refused as I have been taking the money to provide her with more panties to wear at my place, she was already benefiting from it. WDYT? Should I be splitting the profits with her?

Facebook page ROADS.SG recently posted a picture of a man who was cycling on the expressway and he was pulled over by a concerned driver.

The driver stated how he almost ran over the cyclist and he would have smashed into him if he wasn’t alert and applied his e-brake. It was believed that the man was cycling on the ECP towards the airport without any lights, no helmet, using an ear piece while wearing a dark coloured attire.

The driver then proceeded to stop his car to confront the cyclist to get him off the expressway. He then told the cyclist that they were not allowed to ride on their bicycle on the expressway.

A Singaporean female medical undergrad recently posted her negative experience on Facebook after going on a date with a guy who flaunted his daddy’s bungalow and lamborhini. The guy even stated on how her family was poor because they were hawkers.

Last week a guy i was on a date(set up by my friend) he mocked my family .

He first when on a rant or long explanation or story to put it

He told me he was form Jc(a top one at that)

Then he went on about how he wants to save $1M by age 30 he’s like 27M and working in a bank . I on the other had am just 22F

He then explained how his father is so and so and has a PhD and how he lives in one of those huge ass bungolws I think he used the term GBB or GCB

So then I asked him oh what’s that ,he then replied its just a big bungolw ,you don’t know ah? Its quite a high ses thing, not many know

He even treated the waiter badly asking him to ‘come here’ ,no pls no tq or anything.

He then asked what my parents do ,I said oh they are hawkers…

His face changed he asked so you are doing this degree(medicine) to get out of poverty huh .?

I said no I am not i genuinely want to help people out ,why do you think that? I said softy holding in my disgust

He said well you’re from poly and your family probably doesn’t earn much…and must be not so educated so thats why you want to become a doctor?

Softy again I said ,no I don’t think you can stereotype that way

You must be a minority of med students who want to help..thats good he said .

Yeah,I said

Halfway he asked if he can send me home ,I told him no need (I wanted the date to end asap)

He said well I have a lamborghini you know

No thanks ,I’ll take train can liao

But I bet you haven’t been in one cause your poor he said loudly.

This pissed me off,

I told him ,why you no money buy your own car is it its clearly your dad’s car!

And please don’t look down at hawkers, having worked at my parents stall ,I’ve seen uncles who are primary 3 dropouts who earn millions and yet they are humble and give out food to needy on weekends, and they take in like $5000 a day ,selling drinks only….

A video was recently uploaded on the Facebook page sgincidents which shows an uncle with an extremely cool stylish trend.

He was seen with half his hair which was dyed and the other half was cleanly shaven. His eyebrows was also seen to be tattooed as well.

An elderly man was suspected to have be knocked down by an electric scooter, and fell face down to the ground.

A kind passerby went up to help and he found that the old man has broken his nose and his face was coveredwith blood. Blood could be seen dripping down from his mask.

The old man seemed to be in a state of shock and he did not remember what had happened but he did not forget to thank the good hearted man.

The incident occurred Tuesday (18th May) at the bottom floor of a HDB at the Whompoa area.

The passerby said that he found the old man, sitting on the ground, looking like his nose was broken as his face was covered with blood.
