A video emerged online showing a YP climbing onto a roof structure.
He had apparently dropped his IC onto the huge transparent roof like structure and climbed down to retrieve it.
The incident happened near Marina Bay Sands.

A man had claimed that a camcar driver hit his car, as well as wanting to hit his wife.
The man then rushed out to hit the camcar while scolding the driver and wanting to hit him.
The camcar driver then called the police and the man drove away.
The incident happened on 4 Aug at around 9.45am, at Whampoa Drive.

A woman has taken to Facebook to complain about the town council cleaners at her residential area Block 815 Jurong West Street 81.
She laments that the workers make a lot of unnecessary noise while working, disturbing her peace every weekday, weekend, public holiday.
However, because the workers are working on dismantling things that are bulky like sofas and cupboards, there is bound to be some noise involved.
She says that she had feedback to her Town Council and MP on many occasions to no avail.
Netizens have sided the foreign workers and commented that the lady is very self-entitled, and have scolded her for being ungrateful.

This is to relate to a bad experience with a Grab driver.
Was returning home with the family from Suntec. While coming to pick us up the driver made a wrong turn & went round the block once. We didn’t mind as it was just a few mins extra waiting time. I noticed that the driver had his mobile on his lap. This meant that he had to take his eyes off the road to loop at his phone.
Didn’t think much of it then. As we approached Hougang, the driver seemed to lose control while negotiating a curve at 80-90 Kms/per hr. He jerked the steering wheel & straightened quickly. It gave us all a real scare. Again didn’t say anything to avoid distracting the driver. 100 m further on, he missed the left turn & went straight at the signal.
Now, I had to tell him that he missed the turn. He flew into a rage, asking me not to shout at him or distract him & he was following the map & so on. I told him in no uncertain terms that he was driving badly. And asked him to correct the route. He made a U-turn at the next signal & got back in the right direction. Now, I told him to drop us off at the bus top ( opposite our condo).
He didn’t respond, so I repeated my instructions to him again. He just ignored & continued to drive, missing the bust stop! I had to tell him… ” I told you to stop here. You missed it”. He says ‘ Oh, I’ll take a turn”. Takes another U-turn & comes on the other side of the road, on the same side as the condo. Now I tell him, “Ok drop us here on the left, we’ll go from there”.
Twice.. Again he ignores & keeps driving. I had to raise my voice & tell him
” I’m asking you to stop, why are you driving on?”
Once more he goes ballistic :” Don’t shout at me. You need to show respect & so on…”
Have used hundreds of Grab trips & never had an issue. The drivers are always polite. They always pay attention to instructions. This one was different. Left a bad taste.

Another video of a driver tailgating at an unknown HDB exit has emerged on Facebook.
This time, it is a driver of a black BMW.
The netizen who posted this wonders why all these drivers who can afford all these “luxurious” cars cannot afford to pay for the parking fee possibly worth a meagre sum.

Yesterday (Aug 8) the Ministry of Health (MOH) reported 5 more cases that are linked to CHIJ Katong Convent.
The cluster at CHIJ now has a total of 8 cases as of (Aug 8). Students have been placed on home-based school since the last month.
In yesterday’s MOH press release, MOH announced two more clusters

There are 2 new clusters today. In total, there are currently 130 active clusters, ranging between 3 and 1,147 infections
The biggest cluster is Jurong Fishery port, with 4 cases added to it yesterday totalling 1,147.
The second-largest cluster is the KTV cluster with 252 cases
Sometimes when we are tired or stress we often become absent-minded. A netizen shared a story of how her husband forgot to pick up cash at an ATM located in Sengkang.
It’s been almost 5 years and the case is still not cracked yet.
Less than 5 years ago, my husband withdraw $240 from UOB at Sengkang shell. After taking the card, he forgot the cash. Just 3-5minutes later, he realised the forgotten cash at the machine and went back, it’s gone.
Seek help from the cashier, they refuse to assist and ask us to make a police report instead although the incident happens less than 5minutes ago.
Immediately went to the nearby police station to make a report. Until now, no news.

A netizen has taken to Facebook to claim that Nas Daily has made false claims to their followers.
Nas Daily has said that they are the only content creator from Singapore to have flew to the Philippines to feature the Cacao Project.
However, this has been refuted in this Facebook post.

A picture has appeared on Facebook this National Day morning of an otter lying on the ground near a Singapore National flag.
The otter’s lying position looks like it is holding the National Flag.
Netizens have joked that the Otter must have had a wild party night which is why it is lying on the ground with a National flag looking “drunk”.
P.S. No animals were harmed in this.
