TEACHER
Turn to any dictionary and it is defined as a person who instructs students. That’s it, that’s all it says.. That’s what we thought a teacher was. How wrong we were.
This is Scott Beigel a Geography teacher at the high school in Florida where a gunman opened fire on a peaceful Wednesday afternoon. When the shots rang out he did exactly as he was trained to do, get his kids secure in the classroom and lock the door.
But Scott did something else. When he saw other children running in horror from the gunfire down the hallway he put his own life at risk by opening his classroom door and ushering them in. He saved them. Before he could secure his own life however he was hit with a bullet and killed. Make no mistake he traded his life for theirs.
Our teachers have to be so many things. Yes they have to instruct and teach what’s in those text books but they are also social workers for the troubled children who need a friend they can’t find at home. They are caregivers making sure everyone in their class has the supplies they need to succeed in the classroom and the food in their stomachs to get through the day.
And now as we have seen time and time again with these school shootings they have to become the guardian angels to these poor terrified children. Unarmed and in the middle of absolute chaos they have to make split-second decisions that will save those children. That’s not what a teacher signs up for but they do it willingly..
Tomorrow is Friday. If you find yourself near a school or dropping off a child and see a teacher tell them thank you. We ask the impossible of them for too little money.
This is Scott Beigel. A teacher. His last moments on this earth he taught his students the most incredible lesson any of us can ever learn. He taught them that he loved themĀ

Spotted some Pink Shirts Hongkee/ China sellers (www.28home.com.hk) at Block 502 Jurong West Market. They were selling unnamed things in a pink plastic bag and claiming they worth over $400, but for today, he was selling them at $100. I did not get a chance to look into the plastic bag but with what I heard from the people around me, they were simple household items like knife and scissors, etc. (One aunty took the items out of the bag and I saw it)
The sellers collected the money from everyone first then gave the “goods”. I believe that this is to prevent anyone from trying to get a refund after they see whats inside, which the sellers never revealed.
If you listen clearly to the guy in the middle talking, he was even counting how much he had collected from the elderly.
Most of them were elderly and they could have spent the $100 on groceries but they might have just been cheated/scammed with just a few household item.
This is just my point of view. I hope that you all watching this can warn your parents about this.
