ROAD CLOSURES FOR CHINATOWN CNY SHOULDN’T CAR AND MOTORBIKE BE NOT ALLOWED TO DRIVE THRU?

0

My 邻 老 被 (我 的 老 爸 路) Road closures for Chinatown Chinese New Year Celebration 2018 from 26 January – 15 February 2018

Today, I went to Chinatown Chinese New Year Bazaar at along Temple Street (我 的 老 爸 路),this car turn into my 我 的 老 爸 路 and stopped in front of me. Question, Why traffic police do allowed the Vechiles allowed to come into 我 的 老 爸 路 ? The road was so crowded so narrow. The Vechile and Motorbike slowly try to drive in. I observed the shoppers they forgot my 邻 老 被 (我 的 老 爸 ) Lane was not closed and it open till 6pm.

Everyone’s was so busy shopping and crossing the road from left to right, it’s very inconvenice for both pedestrians and all the vechile, people’s don’t even bother the car and they don’t t.know the car are behind of them, the driver has to mindful and patient slowly to drive out.

The Organised by the Chinatown Business Association and Traffics police should considered of this grandfather lane closed for whole day for Road safety. Although this lanes in Chinatown has status closed for Smith Street and Temple Street. The temporary Road closure from 26January – 15February , Time: 6.00pm – 11.00pm (Daily)

The Organised by the Chinatown Business Association and Traffics police, please do not take this matters for granted. In chinese say ; 不 怕 一 万 ,只 怕 万 一 . I noticed our Singapore government has a bad habit BO CHAP attitude,,when thing really happen, they were serious looked into this , then GAN ZONG already open for meeting ” 临 时 抱 佛 家 ”

What happens if someone get into an accident ?

” Who is at Fault in a this Accident ?”

Nobody would liked to stay for reunion dinner in hospital.

” If accident really happen to me but who’s going to pay for my medical bill? ” Ensure everyone’s blame me, I’m careless.

And Who is at Fault open the road for Vechile to come in, it’s not Safe to let car or motorbike to drive into this my 邻 老 被 Lane (Temple Street).

” If this happen to one of your family memebers, were you get angry of this? Do you want Sad Festival or Happy Festival ?

INCONSIDERATE DRIVER PARKS HIS CAR AT THE DROP POINT POSING A POTENTIAL HAZARDS TO SCHOOL CHILDREN!

0

Hi, all, I just want to share this with u all from my other group, admin if think cannot just take down .
Our children we take care, other people children oso we must take care a bit. The ‘I’ in the below is not me.
Is a mother of another children .

I would like to highlight a safety concern regarding an incident that happened this morning for awarenes. Many would be aware that many kids would be boarding the school bus at the sheltered drop-off point near Lobby 2. This morning, a taxi and a car occupied the entire drop-off point and prevented the school bus from driving in. As a result, the school bus had to stop opposite the drop-off point and a young boy had no choice but to cross the drive-way dangerously to board the bus.

I could sense that the little boy was quite scared to cross the drive-way on his own and the visibility in the area was quite low due to the darkness. Worrying about his safety, I walked up to the driver of the car and asked him politely if he can shift his car forward a little so that the bus can turn in for the child to board the bus safely without crossing the drive-way. However, he bluntly rejected my request and even commented that the boy can just cross the drive-way to board the bus. I was extremely upset with his inconsiderate behaviour and his disregard for the safety of the young boy.

To all residents, I sincerely hope that we all can learn from this unpleasant experience and be more considerate. Strictly speaking, there should not be any cars parking or waiting inside the dropoff point as we would be obstructing the area, but as a driver myself, I can understand that sometimes we might want to wait inside the shelter so that our loved ones can board the car safely without walking onto the driveway.

However, do note that the school term has started and many children would be boarding their school buses at the drop-off point. As such, I hope that we can all be more considerate by shifting our car when necessary so that the school buses can drive into the drop-off point to allow the little children to board their school buses safely every morning.

Let’s all be more considerate so that we do not allow our selfishness to cause any fatal accident. Thank you.

Am I Asking For A Miracle?

Seated at a coffee shop enjoying my expensive cuppa, I watched many cars being driven in and out with the label “Private Hire”.
Many drivers were young and some with greying and thinning hair.
“Alien” passengers proudly seated behind such cars being chauffeured by our locals.
Hmmm!!!!
We have become a Nation of underpaid drivers (Grab and Uber grabs 20% off fares), frail cleaners, overworked security guards and low-esteemed toilet cleaners.
“Vultures” galore and foreigners seat proudly giving orders to weak uncles and aunties within these coffeeshops.
What has happened to us as a People??

COMPANY IS NEW ZEALAND IS TRYING OUT A 4 DAY WORK WEEK!!

0

AUCKLAND: A New Zealand company is trying an activity that will see its representatives to work four days a week and still get paid for five days.

The move by trust organization Perpetual Guardian is the first for a noteworthy business in New Zealand. The organization needs to make a working environment “fit for reason for the 21st century”, as indicated by a report from The Guardian on Friday (Feb 9).

The six-week trial applies to more than 200 workers in 16 workplaces around the nation. The representatives will work standard business hours amid the four days. On the off chance that successful, the plan will be embraced full-time by July.

The organization’s organizer, Andrew Barnes, said that by enabling representatives to manage family duties, pastimes and general life support with the additional three day weekend, he trusted that they would be more engaged amid the four days they spent in the workplace.

“To be completely forthright, some of those exercises (family and life duties) were being done inside available time. In the event that you allow individuals to be a decent as they can be outside the workplace – on the grounds that they have additional time – then you will show signs of improvement execution in the workplace,” Barnes said.

Kirsten Taylor, a 39-year-old charity administrations director at the organization, said her “jaw hit the ground” when she got some answers concerning the trial.

“My underlying response was very passionate on the grounds that I am a solitary mum and I have a youthful child. To realize that I can keep my financial plan precisely the way it is, manage the cost of – to some degree – an Auckland contract and have an additional day with my child, in his more youthful years … it is only inconceivable.”

As indicated by the Organization for Economic Co-task and Development, New Zealanders work a normal of 1,752 hours every year.

In correlation, Germany works minimal hours at 1,363 hours every year, while Mexico works the most at 2,255 hours.

THINKING OF BUYING BAK KWA FROM JB? TRAVELLERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BRING MEAT, MEAT PRODUCTS AND EGGS FROM MALAYSIA!: ICA

0

Over the last two days, officers at Woodlands checkpoint had detected two cases of ‘Bak Kwa’ (or the Chinese sweet meat jerky) which were concealed in pastry or cookies packaging. As Malaysia is not an approved country for the importation of meat products by travellers, the packets of ‘Bak Kwa’ were disposed of. The cases have been handed over to Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) for further investigations.

ICA and AVA would like to remind travellers that controlled items like ‘Bak Kwa’ are subjected to travellers’ allowance from approved countries. Livestock, meat and meat products can only be imported from sources that meet AVA’s animal health and food safety standards. Travellers are not allowed to bring in meat, meat products and eggs from Malaysia. Currently, AVA has approved 21 countries, including Canada, Netherlands and the United States, for import of pork and pork products to Singapore. For a list of approved countries, please refer to AVA’s website, www.ava.gov.sg or the SG TravelKaki App.
