Lesser people are seen out on the streets and people working in the offices have reduced as well. This has caused the business of private hired drivers to drop dramatically. Some had even resorted to paying for car park fees in order to increase their chances of getting a customer.
This story was shared by a FB user Minyang Chow. He is a staff working at TTSH. In his post, he mentioned that he noticed a new trend for private hired cars to arrive at his location within 20 to 30 seconds.
Out of his curiosity, he asked the driver why is it so?
The driver answer to him:
” He had been sitting in the expensive TTSH car park for more than 30 minutes, waiting for a passenger. “If not, how can I get a passenger? I have to be the nearest to the passenger to get the job mah. The nearest place to you all is the parking lot lah! You never notice meh. This whole carpark all Grab driver waiting leh. They go Kopitiam da bao eat in the car and wait!”
The Full Post:
For the past few weeks, I’ve noticed a strange phenomenon when heading back from work. At the end of my day, I normally book a Grab from work. These few weeks, I’ve noticed that my Grab arrives in no more than 20 seconds. Today, I had the energy to discover why.
Uncle picked me up today and shamefully, for the first time in a long while, I had the energy to chat with him, particularly because I was curious why Grab cars arrive so fast. Uncle explained that he had been sitting in the expensive TTSH car park for more than 30 minutes, waiting for a passenger. “If not, how can I get a passenger? I have to be the nearest to the passenger to get the job mah. Nearest place to you all is parking lot lah! You never notice meh. This whole carpark all Grab driver waiting leh. They go Kopitiam da bao eat in the car and wait!”
Beep. His car IU sounded as he stopped at the parking gantry. I was stunned at the price he paid for parking. “小弟. This one nothing. I no customer already. Pay abit of parking, got passenger, I happy already.”
And so we began to talk. And I heard the grief he had. “Today my son birthday. But bo pian need to work. No customer also need to drive and pray got customer. I need to pay petrol, season parking, car rental. I can go hungry but I don’t want my family to go hungry”
Uncle dropped me off at my block. “小弟you be careful ar. Don’t kenna coronavirus ar. You work work work also must take care of yourself”.
I tipped Uncle after my ride ended with a message to buy something nice for his son’s birthday. I don’t think it helped a lot, but I hope it did brighten his day.
For every Grab driver like Uncle, there are many more like him. Everyone’s hurting in this period. Let’s open our eyes, go the extra mile, love a little more because we’re all in this together.

“We will continue to monitor assess and the situation in thinking about what to do post 1st June whatever the decision of whatever happens in the coming days or weeks it is clearly not going to be the case that after 1st of June everything will be fine and we will go back to status quo. “
That is clearly not going to happen to all of us
“We will continue to monitor and have gradual calibrated easing and exactly how much, I have to see depending on the assessment of the situation in the coming days and weeks and as we’ve assessed that and ready we will let you know more details about how you can about the exact nature of the restrictions for the easy one can expect me to buy in the meantime let us continue to hunker down and do everything we can to stay home minimize I’ll contact with others.”

According to a Facebook post published by Victoria sin, she exposed her ex-boyfriend’s dirty deeds and he cheated on her.
The following is her Facebook post
Wronged and cheated. We have been dating for 5 years, and we have just broken up 3 weeks ago. In this long and dreadful 3 weeks, time has basically stopped for me, but he has already gotten himself a new girlfriend during the circuit breaker period. 5 years and he cheated 3 times.
I believe this has been ongoing for some time just that I wasn’t aware that he was using dating apps to chat with girls and meet them during this circuit breaker period as if he was single. 渣男 After I found out that he cheated, he does not even dare to stand up for himself to explain to myself and my family members. He blocked my family members and friends on all social media platforms.
Stole Fathers Money
When we first got together, you have stolen my father’s and my money. We forgave you. You lied about your family background, saying that you don’t get along with your parents and your mother passed away. So, my father rented a room for you to stay at my house and treated you like his own son. We bought you meals every day worrying that hungry after work. When you’re broke, I’ll pay for your meals even after all the things you did to me, I trusted you and stood by your side when everyone was telling me to give up on you. I believed that you will change for the better but you disappointed me every single time.
what do the 5 years we had meant to you? To me, I had wasted my youth for waited for you to serve your mandatory national service and another 3 years of trying my best to guide to you a better path for a future with you. A future with you I wish I had not dreamt off.
To you who cheated: “If you cheat on someone that is willing to do anything for you, you actually cheated yourself of true loyalty”.
The whole sole purpose of this post is to make sure no one goes through whatever I went through with you. Good luck to you and the girls you are cheating on as well.
