TRAGIC FATAL ACCIDENT OF MOTHER AND 5-YEAR-OLD GIRL, FAMILY SEEKING WITNESS

A Facebook post was published last night by Facebook user Derrick Ng, he is seeking witness for a fatal accident that happened on the 22 of March 2020.

The accident area is at a T junction located along Tampines Avenue 9 and Avenue 10.

The following is his Facebook post

“We are seeking witnesses of a traffic accident which took place at the junction of Tampines Ave 10 and Tampines Ave 9 (towards TPE) last Sunday, 22nd March 2020 at approximately 2130hrs. This unfortunate event resulted in the tragic passing of our beloved mother and 5 year old daughter. Any form of contribution that could render assistance to the investigation would be greatly appreciated.”

42 MORE CASES, SINGAPORE AT 844 CASES, 10 UNLINKED CASES!

According to the latest Ministry of Health media release, the number has climbed to 844 after 42 more cases were confirmed.

Among the 42 cases, 24 are imported and 18 are local cases.

A death happened earlier today, bringing the total to 3 deaths cases.

A new cluster has also been identified at Yishun Bridal company, the wedding brocade.

Case 802,810 and case 746, the patients from the Yishun cluster is between 22 to 36 years old.

26 A staff member working for the bridal company has been issued quarantine orders

2nd Case involving workers from the public healthcare sector

Case 741 is a 42-year-old nurse with no travel history to affected regions, she started having symptoms on the 24th of March. She works at Ng Teng Fong Hospital.

SINGAPORE THIRD DEATH FROM THE CORONA VIRUS

According to the latest media reports, a third person has died from the coronavirus. The patient pass away at around 12.12 PM today (29 March 2020).

MOH stated that the 70-year-old Singaporean did not travel to any of the affected countries.

He was admitted to Singapore General Hospital on the Feb 29 and he was tested positive for the coronavirus a few days later on the 2 March 2020 and warded in the ICU.

MOH will release further information, take note of developing story.

MAN HANDCUFFED, POLICE K-9 DOG SNIFFING FOR DRUGS ON THE LORRY

A video was uploaded by Facebook user Loh, several police officers were on scene and a stopping a lorry.

A man was seen handcuff and two officers was holding on to him.

It is believed that one of the police officers were seen letting a dog up the driver’s seat to sniff for drugs or other potential illegal items.

The video posted did not state the location, date and time of the incident.

TWO SINGAPORE POLICE OFFICERS TESTED POSITIVE FOR CORONAVIRUS

According to the Ministry of Health, the first Police officer was tested positive on the 26 March 2020 and the second officer was tested positive on the 27 March.

They are cases 709 and case 731.

709 went to a doctor on 23rd March for fever but he was only given one day MC by the doctor. On 24th March he went back to his workplace and joined his unit for training. He later left in the afternoon after he stated that he was feeling unwell.

On the 26 March, he went to a Polyclinic and he currently warded at National Centre for Infectious Diseases.

Case 731

Went to a doctor on the 21st of March and was given Medical leave till 24th of March. He went to another clinic and was given another 3 days of MC.

His fever did not go down and he went to Changi General Hospital and tested positive for the coronavirus and warded there.

He last went to work on the 20th March 2020.

SINGAPOREAN MAN PASSPORT CANCELED BY ICA AFTER BREACHING STAY HOME NOTICE

According to a media release that was announced by ICA on the 29th March 2020. Goh Illya Victor a 53-year-old Singaporean male breaching his stay home notice and ICA has cancelled the passport.

The man has been referred to MOH for investigation.

How it happened

  Goh had travelled from Singapore to Batam, Indonesia, on 3 March 2020, and returned to Singapore via Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal on 19 March 2020. Upon his entry, he was served with an SHN due to his recent travel history to Indonesia.

However, he then decided to return to Indonesia on the same day, despite ICA officers warning him that he would breach the SHN requirements and could face penalties.

  On 24 March 2020, he returned to Singapore from Indonesia through the Singapore Cruise Centre, and was issued with a second 14-day SHN from 24 March 2020 to 7 April 2020.

Goh has displayed irresponsible conduct by not complying with the requirements of his first SHN, departing Singapore on 19 March 2020 and then returning to Singapore on 24 March 2020. In view of the wilful breach, ICA has cancelled his passport and referred the case to MOH for investigation into his breach of SHN requirements.

70 NEW CASES IN SINGAPORE, TOTAL AMOUNT OF CASES AT 802. STAY HOME IF YOUR UNWELL

The ministry of health reported 70 more new cases today, bringing the total cases to 802. Among the new cases, 29 of the cases are local, 41 cases are imported

Stay home if you feel unwell. If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention and call in advance. Follow the directions of your local health authority.

Two new cases linked to Singpost Centre cluster, there are a total of 5 confirmed cases from this cluster

CONFIRMED CASE AT WOODLANDS NORTH OAKS CONDOMINIUM, FACILITIES CLOSED

A letter was seen pasted on the doors of a gym located in Woodlands North Oak condominium informing that the facilities are closed due to a confirmed case.

The letter is dated 25th March 2020. The letter stated that 1 confirmed case of Coronavirus is in the estate of NorthOaks Condominium Blk 20A.

The management claims that they do know which unit is affected as MOH did not reveal the information.No further details on the cases were released.

The circular also stated that the Ministry of Health will be conduct contact tracing if required.

Precautionary measures have been implemented to protect residents.

All facilities like the tennis courts, swimming pools, playgrounds, fitness areas, multi-purpose hall, karaoke room, games room, lounges, gym and golf facilities will be closed till Apr. 3.

Booking fees will be refunded

It also stated that all blocks will undergo disinfection, and towers will have additional cleaning measures.

CONDOM SHORTAGE AS ONE OF THE WORLD’S TOP PRODUCER IN M’SIA UNDER LOCKDOWN

A global condom shortage is coming, the coronavirus has forced one of the biggest condom producers in the world to stop producing condoms.

Karex which is a company in Malaysia is one of the top 5 condom producers in the world.

The factory has since stopped production since the 17 March 2020 after the three factories in Malaysia were forced to stop operations after the Malaysian government imposed a lockdown.

According to a report by Reuters, Karex Chief Executive Goh Miah Kiat said:

“We are going to see a global shortage of condoms everywhere, which is going to be scary,”

49 MORE CASES, 27 ARE LOCAL CASES, NEW CLUSTER AT SINGPOST CENTRE

According to the Ministry of Health, the latest numbers today has climbed to 732 cases. A total of 49 cases were confirmed earlier today.

Out of the 49 cases, 22 of them are importers cases who travelled from across from Europe, America and Asia regions.

18 of the cases are linked to previous cases or an existing cluster. 9 Cases are unlinked.

5 cases linked to PCF Sparkletots pre-school 

3 of the news cases is a new cluster at Singpost Centre, it is located at 10 Eunos Road 8.

11 patients have been discharged, the total number of recovered cases is at 183.
