A video surfaced online, showing a fight at a makan place in Geylang. It started off as a war of words until someone made their first move. The biggest guy of the lot started kicking people who went down. But what we do not understand is, why do you have to let your rage out on women?
We get it, the Thai Milk Tea ice cream from McDonalds is a hot seller. But what if the only thing that was ‘hot’ here was the customer?
A video surfacing online shows a man who got agitated over the way the McDonalds staff talked to him. Normally, the best approach would be to either walk away or approach the staff nicely. However, the customer started shouting loudly at the apologetic McDonalds staff.
As someone who has done customer service/retail job in their career, do you feel sorry for the McDonalds staff or do you feel that he/she deserved that kind of treatment?

As u guys can see in this video, how rude and churlish these 2 staffs were when handling a customer. Just look at their shitty attitudes when i was talking to them nicely.
All i did was, asking the skinny staff nicely what other colours of the product they have..
And there goes her attitude towards me.
If u think u dont like to serve customers then please quit your job instead of making your customers’ mood to shop turns ugly.
The story goes like this…
The moment i asked a question to the skinny lady, her face turned glum as if she’s lazy to entertain a customer’s enquiries. All i want to know if there were any other colours available..
That’s all. She gave me an attitude And then she went to her friend which was standing behind the cashier and started to BAD-MOUTHING me (without realising that i was standing right behind her at that point of time) in chinese language (which i clearly understands what she said). And so i approached the skinny lady and asked her why are u bad-mouthing about me? Is it wrong for me to ask more about the products that you were handling?
AND SHE IGNORED ME as if i was not there! So i told her if she dont like serving customer plus with her lack of service and crappy attitude that she is giving, might as well u quit your job. And then suddenly her colleague (the one standing behind the cashier) TOLD HER TO IGNORE ME in chinese language (duhhh.. as if i dont understand; which i clearly does)!
Is this how staffs should treat their customers?!! I clearly know not everything is “customer’s are always right” BUT in this case, it was obvious that i was not in the wrong to be angry with these kind of Attitudes given right?
After i received their shitty attitude, i asked them nicely again (for dont know how many times already) for their names and where is your manager. THEY IGNORED ME AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN!! So i decided to take a video of them and then only they started to answered my questions BUT STILL THEY WERE SO RUDE!!!
Everything i asked all they answered was DONT KNOW, DONT KNOW and DONT KNOW?!!!
Even their Names also they DONT KNOW?!!
Bullshit right? I was so damn furious but lucky i managed to control my anger.
I came there happily to shop and this was what i get from these 2 insolent staffs. Really turned my day upside down.

It’s 4am tonight, a Saturday night. I had stopped my taxi on the left side of Geylang Rd besides Lor 18.
As I was waiting for my next potential pax, I noticed a frail lady not far away in front of me flagging for taxi. A few taxis stopped for her but all rejected picking her and drove off. Something is wrong with this lady. She didn’t looked drunk to me, so, from experience, I predicted that she didn’t had money for the taxi trip. That would be the only reason why all the taxis rejected to pick her up.
I can see she is in a hurry to get a taxi. She looks sick to me as she kept bending down to catch her breathe. Out of curiosity and compassion, I drove forward to this lady and winded down my windows and asked if she needed help. Still catching her breathe, she pleaded to me saying: “Sir, I have $10 on me and I want to go to Indus Rd. Can you help me sir? Please!” She crosses her fingers and did a begging gesture. Based on my experience, the fare from Geylang to Havelock Rd would be around $12-15, it’s not far off the $10. So I thought to myself, why not? So I pick her up.
Along the way, this lady told me about her ordeal tonight. Tonight is her first day back to work here in Lor 16. Due to a fight earlier on in Lor 16, the Police came and raided the area and all the people dispersed. As a result, the lady was unable to get any business tonight. So she is going home. This $10 fare she gave me was the only money she had and she borrowed it from a transvestite sex work.
I asked her did she tried looking for other jobs? She told me she is suffering from Kidney problems and she is too weak to find a job. She could not stand for long hours and could not stay in air con room for long hours too. Providing sex service is the only means of making some money for her. And she was proud that she did not resorted to stealing or begging or even cheating other people. She used her own ability to earn money.
Upon, hearing this, I felt ashamed to have taken her only $10 away from her. I keep my eye sight away from her as I did not want her to see my watery eyes. I know these are tears of both shame and compassion.
I stole glances of this lady by the side of my eyes. She looked worn out, probably due to her life’s experience and her sickness. But she wore a thick makeup and I can tell she tried to look her best. She wore a sexy dress.
From her handbag, the lady pulled out a long sleeves button shirt. She told me to excuse her as she wore the long sleeves shirt over her sexy dress. At this moment, I realized she didn’t wanted her neighbors to see her in the sexy dress. She is staying in a rented flat at Indus Rd.
We reached her destination without incident. She was profuse in thanks for me sending her back. It was at this time, I took her $10 and put it in her hands and told her to take this money and get herself some breakfast. At this moment, I think I saw tears in the lady’s eyes. Just as my own vision started to blur due to my own tears. I hurried her off (as she kept thanking me) I didn’t want her to see me cry for her. For what I know, I am a proud person and would never want other people to cry any tears for me. I think this lady is a warrior in life and she would also feel the way I feels.
As I drove out of the car park, I couldn’t hold my tears any longer and it rolled down my cheek. Deep within me I know I pity the lady. Having to work at an elderly age as a sex worker while having health problem.
I did a good deed tonight. I feel satisfied. And I still have to thank the TD uncle who gave me a free ride about 16 years ago. If not for him, I most probably won’t do this good deed tonight.
If you think my story is inspiring to you, please, try to help out pax who are truthful about not having enough fare for the ride. At least they are honest, do give a helping hand if it’s not too troublesome for you guys.
ps: God works in miracles way. Before I changed shift this morning, I got a CJ for 3 pax going Clark Quay > AMK > Bedok > Newton Rd. Fare was $42.05, pax gave me $50, ktc. Guess it’s the way God said I had been good tonight! 😊😊😊

I wish to report an incident of harassment on board one of your busses.I boarded the bus 382W at 1821hrs at the bus stop opposite Punggol View Primary Sch with my two young children. When I boarded the bus the bus driver said “hi” to me. I then proceeded to have a seat and settle my two children in their seats safely.
Soon after I noticed the driver looking at me through the rear view mirror and mumbling. I at first ignored it. He then began to mumbled a little louder and his eyes were still on me through the mirror. I was then already afraid for me and my children’s safety. He continued to stare at me through the mirror and then mumbled very loud. I was the only passenger on the bus at this time. He kept mumbling loudly and from my seat I asked him what is the matter ?
He then said something but I couldn’t understand so I approached him and asked him calmly
what he had said.
He then asked me ” Are you Alisha?” he asked me this question a few times and I was at first in shock to what he was trying to ask me. I then replied “NO” and he then made a ‘kissing face’ a few times. I felt very disgusted, offended and very afraid for my safety.
I went back to the seat with my children. and held on to them. He then slowed down his bus to a stop and didn’t drive. I was terrified and raised my voice and said ” just drive. just drive. just drive.” He then said something and continued talking. The following bus stop there was a man with a stroller who boarded and the driver didn’t speak to me anymore but he kept looking at me through the mirror. The bus then started to become full with passengers when it reached the following bus stop and He didn’t disturb me anymore.

Please read this horrid incident that has happened to me and my children.The police has been inefficient, they said it’s filed under harresment but can’t do anything about it unless I bring it to court. They told me to make a complain with the bus company so
I made a complaint with the bus company GoAhead Singapore and they said will look into the matter and watch him closely. And moved him to another bus berth. If this driver is still out there, I feel the need to create awareness to mothers with children or any female for that matter.
This is our home and these PRC drivers come here and think they can do this and get away with it?
Where is the justice in this system?
If he is so daring to act this way with the cameras on board the bus he obviously has no fear and he could still be driving the bus you are on now.
Talk about picking your fights, a couple of old birds are seen taunting each other at a coffee shop in Yishun.
A video surfaced online showing 2 uncles who are shouting at each other, each asking the other one to have a go. We are unsure if they are drunk but it seems very likely. After a few minutes, fists and chairs were thrown.
