WOMAN MADE CLAIMS AGAINST THE POLICE OF A RECENT RAID AT A BROTHEL

Singapore Police Force, pls Investigate the Allegations of Abuse and the Person who Alleged Abuse THOROUGHLY

Women Rights and Sex Workers Rights Activist Vanessa Ho alleged that the Police received favour and services from the women they raided. She also said that a Police Officer pointed his/her weapon at an unarmed woman. In addition, she claimed that people were hurt.

These are serious allegations. The Singapore Police Force should take these allegations seriously because it concerns the integrity and standing of a premier Police Force in the region. Vanessa Ho should make a Police report for the Internal Affairs to make a thorough investigations. The Police should also investigation Vanessa Ho and her allegations regardless.

If the allegations are true, the Officers must be punished severely. However, if the allegations are smears and lies then Vanessa Ho must be taken to task severely. In other countries, fake news and allegations have caused riots and disorder. We must not allow fake news and allegations to undermine our peace and security. So, the Police must investigate both the Officers, and Vanessa Ho, thoroughly.

Note: The screen cap was taken right before Vanessa Ho deleted her updated post.

PRC MOM PUNCHING KID ON PUBLIC TRANSPORT (VIDEO)

This is Singapore not China for god sake.

There’s a difference between disciplining your child and abusing them at such a young age. Furthermore in public.

P.s this was going on for more than 10mins and I only manage to get 2 clips of it. And throughout the 10minutes she was literally sending barrage of punches to the kid. Let me enforce, PUNCHES NOT SLAPS.

If you can’t handle the stress of having a child then control your bloody hormones la.

P.s, Incase anybody thinks that nobody tried to stop her, we did. Many of the passengers did warn her and some even scolded her but she just ignored and carried on with the *disciplining* of her child. So please don’t go saying stuffs along the line that “why is it I’m able to record but not step in.” , just cause it isn’t captured on film doesn’t mean nothing was done.

And I apologise that I wasn’t able to capture her face. As you can see the guy in green was standing directly in front of me is blocking her preventing me from capturing her. Furthermore there were people on both my left and right.

To further clarify. I’ll apologise to those whom I’ve offended and in no way am I shooting china as a whole. I’ve friends from china and they are one of the nicest people I’ve met. So to put it clear,
1. It’s obvious the mum is from china. Based on their accents.
2. I’m aware that in china it’s normal for parents to discipline their child this way (maybe I’m wrong) but from what I’ve noticed so far it’s more prominent in china. But this is Singapore, and we don’t tolerate such acts in public (Not saying that it’s alright to do so at home) but if this is how you Want to discipline your child, do it behind closed doors where there aren’t any eyes on you.
3. The kid wasn’t misbehaving, the kid just kept on telling the mum not to beat him and he wants to stay with her and the mum reacted the way she did as seen in the video.
4. In the second clip the punches took place just before the video started due to the lag when I started recording and I didn’t Realize it till after.

STRAITS VISTA @ MARSILING, NOT A FAN OF STRAY CATS?

0

I don’t usually rant online and publicise unnecessarily but a posting especially about the comm cats in my area is uncalled for and warrants such acknowledgement.

It has been fine and dandy for the past 5 years being a resident and a member of the page. Admin(s) even assisted to reshare/repost my notices of abandoned/lost/injured cats in this hood, until yesterday. Unsure what actually transpired the admin(s) to put up the post and have it deleted afterwhich.

I have never once initiated any posts directly on the page as admin would still need to approve.

PLEASE HELP TO SPREAD THIS LIKE WILDFIRE BECAUSE ADMIN OF Straits Vista @ Marsiling (5yrs old HDB flats) HAS BLOCKED ME, A RESIDENT HERE, FROM COMMENTING AND SENDING MESSAGES AFTER THEY HAVE PUT UP A CONTROVERSIAL POST OF OUR COMM CATS ON A RESIDENCY PAGE (post was taken down).

—————————————————————————————

Dear Straits Vista @ Marsiling,

This is to answer your question in your FB page and raise awareness of our comm cats here. I, as a resident, am appalled of such action.

There are no stray cats. Cats with tipped ears are community cats and they have been sterilised and microchipped by Cat Welfare Society and AVA. There are feeders too. And by AVA standards, community cats are allowed to roam if they have already been sterilised as they WILL NOT be a nuisance to public and DO NOT pose any danger.

However, since this post has already been made, we have made a screenshot to safeguard the cats. If there are any cats missing, we will lodge a report to AVA and Cat Welfare Society and use this post as evidence should there be any foul play towards the Comm cats.

AVA can contact town councils and pest control
Companies to see if they have been trapping cats here to ‘get rid’ of the cats or ‘relocate’ the cats.

In this day and age, Singapore as a society has evolved to become more compassionate towards animal causes and aware of animal welfare. There are platforms and proper channels to address animal-related issues instead of putting up such controversial posts to stir emotions, manipulate or get people riled up. Instigating is irresponsible and immature, more so coming from the admin of a residency.

They are NOT strays. They are community cats. They BELONG to the community.

In addition, I will use this and write in to relevant authorities as a precautionary measure and alert all feeders.

DOG OWNER WARN OF DPETS CENTRE @ BUKIT PANJANG. REPORTED TO AVA

Update 10 Dec:

*A police report and a complain to AVA had been filed yesterday. According to the police, only AVA officers can investigate this case. An investigation of such nature by AVA usually takes 45 days (see screenshot). I had filed the case under deliberate negligence and suspected abuse. I’ll call them up to see if there is any way to expedite the case. The boss name is Dennis Ng. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get hold of his photo online.

Do pm me his photos if anyone can get hold of it. Thanks everyone for the kind words and continue to help spread the words.*

It is every fur parents’ nightmare to come back from an overseas holiday to an injured dog who cried in pain until he almost completely lost his voice and his eyes stained with yellowish discharged. To make things worse, you do not know what happened to him and how long he had suffered in agony.

My dog, Mocha, was dropped off for boarding on 25 Nov at Dpets Centre, Bukit Panjang Plaza. He was a normal happy healthy dog then. When we returned from an overseas trip on 4 Dec, his left hind leg was injured and he was limping in pain on the remaining 3 legs. Unfortunately, we got our helper to pick up Mocha from Dpets Centre one day before our return. When my helper asked (the boss and the lady assistant) why the dog was limping, they didn’t answer her. Helper being in a less privileged position and not knowing what else to do, left the shop with a limping mocha.

On 4 Dec when we returned, I called up the boss and asked what exactly happened to Mocha and whether if he needed medical attention, the boss assured me that it was a minor injury he got when he was scratching the cage and it’d heal in a few days. I also asked why there was yellowish discharged and he almost completely lost his voice, the boss kind of brush it off. Knowing my dog could overreact to pain and thinking that he was probably whining for a long time and hence lost his voice, I decided (and foolishly so) to wait for a few days before seeking medical intervention.

Fast forward 7 Dec, I brought Mocha to see Dr Lennie Lee at The Animal Clinic in Clementi. He immediately suspected that Mocha might have suffered a joint dislocation. Mocha was X rayed. My heart sank when Dr Lee confirmed that Mocha had a joint dislocation at his left hip. And to add a thousand tons to my already heavy heart, Dr Lee told me quietly that such joint dislocation didn’t happen easily. To cause such an injury, there must be great impact like he fell from a very high place. I couldn’t imagine the excruciating pain Mocha had suffered (joint dislocation, without pain killer and GOD KNOWS FOR HOW LONG). Poor Mocha, unable to expressed his pain, cried till voice became hoarsed and eye stained with tear marks plus yellowish discharged. And who knew what else happened in his stay in Dpets Centre. After administering GA, Dr Lee tried to push the dislocated hip bone back in place but couldn’t as too much time had lapsed and the muscles around the joint had stiffened. So Mocha was brought back to The Animal Clinic the next day for a surgery by Dr Hsu Li Chieh. According to Dr Hsu, there was also fracture (shown on x ray) around the hip bone. The only possible treatment was to file away the protruding bone and let the muscles and tissues strengthened around the joint. So technically Mocha’s leg would not be in the hip joint (with one leg shorter than the other), he gotta depend on his muscles soft tissues to hold his left leg in place. Dr Hsu assured me that as Mocha is small, it should not affect his walking in the long run (I’m keeping my fingers crossed). Again, Dr Hsu confirmed that to sustain such injury, there must have been trauma to it. So what exactly happened in Dpets Centre? I could only take comfort that Mocha was well taken care of during his treatment in The Animal Clinic by 2 very experience vets and a great team of nurses.

So who was responsible for this ‘great impact’ and ‘trauma’ which caused a poor defendless dog to suffer tremendous pain alone for days (my heart literally bleed at this thought). Why wasn’t he given the necessary medical attention straight away? Was it a one off accident or was Mocha being abused throughout his stay? We went down to the Dpets Centre for answers. The boss was there. He denied responsibility (as expected), gave lots of justifications and suggested that Mocha’s injury was caused after he left the shop (and probably by my helper). And as usual for drama purposes, the cctv in the shop was spoilt. Luckily for us, there was a cctv right outside the shop and many cctv along the way home. My husband told the boss that if the cctv outside the shop showed a limping Mocha upon him stepping out, Mocha had to be injured in the shop. We approached the mall management and requested for them to review the cctv and let us know if my dog was limping immediately when he stepped outside the shop. According to the mall executive who watched the cctv, Mocha was limping on his right hind leg (which meant left hind leg injured) when he left Dpets Centre. So nothing to deny already right? But the boss still refused to admit that Mocha was injured under his care. We told him that we were going to file a police report on suspected dog abused and he simply told us that he intended to close down his shop anyway. No apologies, no attempt to investigate, no intention to assume responsibility (or maybe he was the one who abused Mocha?) Such obnoxious attitude. Him closing down the shop or not, I just had to share this experience because it was too painful for any dogs and dog owners to go through. We do not wish another dog to suffer under the care of Dpets Centre.

By sharing this story we hope that:
1) No fur baby would go through the same ordeal as Mocha.
2) No fur parents would go through the guilt that we were experiencing.
3) Dpets Centre would own up to their mistakes if it was an accident.
4)Seek justice for Mocha if he was indeed being abused.
5) Any potential witnesses of the accident or abuse would come forward. (Mocha is a mid size poddle. He was under boarding at Dpets from 25 Nov – 3 Dec. He was picked up by my helper between 6-7pm on 3 Dec)

A police report will be filed later today or tomorrow. To be frank, I doubt I can find the real culprit and exactly what had happened. But I do wish to inform all dog owners to be careful when sending your precious babies to Dpets Centre. Feel free to share my post so that more people can be informed of my experience at Dpets Centre and hopefully the post can reach the potential witnesses.
