VIDEO CAM AT THOMSON NOT SPEED CAM JUST A UNI STUDENT DOING RESEARCH!

0

Direct answer from the person in who placed the camera here when I asked her about it.

*quote*

Sure. I can explain. I am a final year student from nus who is currently working on mammal roadkill. These devices are camera traps which allow me to record situations on the road to find out whether any animals are crossing at these areas and how many got killed by vehicle collision.

Upper thomson road is one of the locations in which a previous research had found to be a site where mammals often got killed. The images captured by these devices would be kept confidential and only for research purposes.

My research will end sometime next year (around march) and all the devices would be taken down. I understand that the drivers are sensitive to this stuff so the cameras are placed “ideally” in the direction of the traffic flow. Pls rest assured that is not some speed cameras and any information would not be disclosed.

BOY FOUND HANGING BY HDB PARAPET, GOOD REACTION BY SPF TO SAVE HIM! (VIDEO)

A boy was seen dangling by a HDB parapet. We do not know what is going on or how he got there in the first place.

From the video itself, we can see that the SPF quickly went up to the unit to save him from falling down to his doom. The boy can be seen holding on to a woman before the SPF quickly pulled him up.

We would like to commend the SPF for this action and saving his life. The bigger question is though, how did all of this happen?

Are you a user of Nicehash doing bitcoin mining?

According to Nicehash, there was a security breach and according to public hash address, an estimated amount of USD$62 was hacked.

Official press release regarding the NiceHash security breach

Unfortunately, there has been a security breach involving NiceHash website. We are currently investigating the nature of the incident and, as a result, we are stopping all operations for the next 24 hours.

Importantly, our payment system was compromised and the contents of the NiceHash Bitcoin wallet have been stolen. We are working to verify the precise number of BTC taken.

Clearly, this is a matter of deep concern and we are working hard to rectify the matter in the coming days. In addition to undertaking our own investigation, the incident has been reported to the relevant authorities and law enforcement and we are co-operating with them as a matter of urgency.

We are fully committed to restoring the NiceHash service with the highest security measures at the earliest opportunity.

We would not exist without our devoted buyers and miners all around the globe. We understand that you will have a lot of questions, and we ask for patience and understanding while we investigate the causes and find the appropriate solutions for the future of the service. We will endeavour to update you at regular intervals.

While the full scope of what happened is not yet known, we recommend, as a precaution, that you change your online passwords.

We are truly sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused and are committing every resource towards solving this issue as soon as possible.

FIRE INVOLVING LARGE MARINE BOUYS WAS EXTINGUISHED BY SCDF @ TUAS!

0

SCDF was alerted to a fire at 21 Tuas View Place at about 1.40 pm. The fire, involving large marine buoys filled with dense foam, was mitigated using several foam jets. The fire was confined within the storage yard of about the size of a basketball court.

The fire was extinguished at 7:50 pm. It was a protracted firefighting operation due to the difficulty in accessing the deep seated fire as the rows of large buoys had melted and fused together.

Damping down operations are currently in progress. SCDF is investigating the cause of the fire.

*Damping down is a term used by SCDF to describe the application of water to wet burnt surfaces immediately after the fire is put out. This is to prevent any potential rekindle of fire from the hot burnt surfaces.

MARRIED WOMAN CAUGHT WITH GUY. TOLD DAUGHTERS “THIS IS YOUR NEW DAD”

She and the man were caught red handed in the room making out.  2 of her young daughters were in the room when they were in the act.  The man can’t even be bothered to get dressed up properly when the police arrive. The husband already agreed for divorce, willing to give her the flat and custody of her 4 daughters.  But yet, she has to do this when the divorce papers were not officially signed.

She cant wait till the divorce is official.  Brought the man home to stay when husband is not around.  I thought all mothers put their children before themselves.  The man whom she brought home even hit the daughters and she gave a blind eye to it.

She even ask her daughters to tell their father that they already have a new father.  How could a mother do this?  Blinded by love or lust?

NETIZEN CLAIMS THAT DRIVER SCRATCH HIS CAR AFTER HE TOOK HIS PARKING SPOT!

* Beware of this Low-life Scumbag *
Date: Sunday 03-Dec-17
Time: Around 12:30pm
Place: NEX shopping centre, Serangoon

This guy driving a Mazda SCJ 878sixA was following me when entering the car park. When I reached L3, I reversed park the car (attached photo from the front cam after I parked) and he probably felt that I took his spot. He then came to scratch my car with 2 deep scratches on the left.

My word to this guy – Karma will take care of you. If you are not happy with whatever I did, you should have honked me. After all, it’s just for a parking lot and there is no need to take revenge by scratching people’s car.

PASSENGER BOUGHT SQ TICKETS GOT PUSHED TO BOARD SCOOT DUE TO ‘UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES”

Dear Singapore Airlines,

I wanted to share how disappointed I am with the service. I have emailed and waited for almost a month but there is no reply for an update.

Firstly, SQ change to Scoot carrier, and we paid a premium but was been pushed to board a budget airline instead. We want to cancel the flight and book directly through budget aircraft. However, this will not work as SQ contacted us too late and the prices for budget airlines have escalated close to SQ pricing for the week we are flying. Hence, we decided to hang on the reservation with SQ and fly on Scoot.

We were told that we will continue to receive luggage allowance and onboard meals as per our Singapore Airline booking arrangement. Unfortunately, our experience was very poor. This happens for the two-way flight.

– we were asked to check in using the kiosk which does not work for both of us; the passport information does not match the booking records
– the ticket printed partial name for SURNAME_MIDDLENAME and not SURNAME_FULLNAME hence we cannot find the booking when we want to self-check in.
– when we wanted to check in our pieces of luggage, this is not reflected in the system that this is part of the arrangement and the staff had to check with the supervisor which took some time
– I got worried and asked if meals are included, again the staff took some time to check and assure us it will be included as we are transferred from SQ
– the gate was changed after we passed the custom
– the flight is delayed for an hour
– when the stewardess finally starts serving food, they went past us and we thought they will come back after that. No one comes back and the following announcement is when the plane is landing. Next, the stewards started collecting the trash. We did not get our food and drink.

This is a very bad experience for us given our first experience with Scoot. We are even more disappointed with Singapore Airlines as we paid a premium not to take budget Airlines but were forced to be boarding that due to SQ commercial reason.

I really hope to get a response from Singapore Airlines as we bought the tickets from SQ, not from Scoot. Prior the trip, i have been calling the call center, and they always have to take a long time to answer my call. What makes matter worse, they always cannot pull out my booking in the system and can only do it over the phone. I called 3 times when there were changes to the flight but i was not notified (i know it through the other passenger i was travelling with), and SQ always replied saying they will call back but they never did. I had to use email method and by the time they mention the complimentary period to select more leg room space for those transfer from SQ is closed. This is my worst experience flying with SQ. I need an update pleaseeeeeeeeeee. Thank you.
