Details:
My friend and I was walking along the roadside of Tyrwhitt Road towards where my car was parked at T0021 roadside carpark when we heard a SMRT Taxi horned at us from behind. We then walked closer toward the right side of the road where other cars were parked on this one-way, double lane road.

Suddenly, I heard a loud bang and felt a sharp pain on my left elbow. I had been hit but the SMRT Taxi that horned at us just moments before. I had not idea on how and why the driver could drive so close to me, to the extend that the right side mirror of his cab could knock onto my left elbow despite having so much space on the other lane.

After the SMRT taxi driver hit me on my left elbow with his car’s right side mirror, he did not stop his car to check on me but instead drove off immediately, while winding down his right window to adjust his right side mirror that had hit my left elbow.

This incident was witnessed by an uncle walking along the roadside towards me. He shouted at the taxi driver to stop but the SMRT taxi driver just sped off towards the junction ahead where he made left turn.

As the incident happened too suddenly, my friend and I and the uncle who witness the incident was not able to get hold of the car plate number of the SMRT Cab driver. I hope that you #SMRT would be able to investigate on this matter and take necessary actions towards this irresponsible driver. Currently my left elbow felt sore from the impact of the right side mirror that hit me.
