A netizen shared a horrible experience she had with a Gumtree seller, who sold her a stolen bag, which was eventually confiscated by the Singapore Police Force (SPF) for over 4 months while they conducted their “investigations”.

According to netizen, she had purchased the bag on Gumtree on 16 November, but was informed the very next day by an “inspector” from the Singapore Police Force that the bag was a stolen item and would be confiscated for investigations.

Feeling upset that she was going lose her bag, which was bought using her own hard earned money, she asked the officer whether she would get the bag back. However, the officer has continued to evade her questions by saying that the bag would be kept indefinitely for investigation purposes.

The netizen claims that the thief has been caught and jailed now, but her bag has yet to be returned, nor has the seller returned her the bag.

She wrote: “When I called the inspector, he sounded impatient and keep asking me to wait . And he even added that I may not get my money or only part of money back only. Is this how it works?”

What kind of hotel is this? Turns out to be Swiss hotel that is the one that places this piece of notice up by someone that goes by the name of Ruth Thomann.

I trying not to imagine what he is implying by telling guest in the hotel when only applying it to a particular ethical group.

According to reports, a man died after getting stuck by the driverless train. There was also information that the man had drunk an equivalent of two big bottle beers prior to this incident.

Blood was found on the train and the man’s personal belongings were under the train.

The man is identified as Mr Ang, a Malaysian man.

Chinese seventh month starts 22 August this year. For people not in the know, that’s when Taoists and Buddhists believe that the gates of hell open for a month for spirits to wander the earth. In a multicultural country like Singapore, this is observed widely and even people from other faiths generally tend to err on the side of caution and observe certain customs during this period.

This period is also when stranger things tend to happen, and I thought I’d share something which happened to a friend of mine.

He and his girlfriend went to a certain ktv in the central part of Singapore during seventh month a few years ago. Now this is a big no no for various reasons, it’s believed that spirits are attracted to dark spaces (ktv rooms are generally really dark) and music and singing (as entertainment).

They spent a few hrs in the room singing, had fun and then left to make payment. But then at the front desk the cashiers tried to charge them for three people, and kept insisting that when they arrived they had another lady with them. My friend argued with them, and finally they decided to check the footage from security cams in the room.

To his horror, the footage showed three people in the room! An additional lady crouched on the sofa just beside his gf, looking at the floor throughout the session. And when my friend and his gf left the room together, she stood up and left with them, all the while still gazing at the same spot on the floor. As the cashiers watched the video, it dawned on them what was happening, and they waived off the charges for the ‘third person’

This cheapskate Grab rider was late for 5 minutes and refused to pay the Grab driver J. Instead she wasted his time by calling the police to help her even though the terms and conditions set by Grab is clear.

After reaching her home at Block 411B Fernvale Road, she refused to pay the extra $3 owed due to her lateness and argued with the Grab driver. When shown the rules and regulations, she still insist on not paying the late penalty.

She scolded the driver and slammed him door before calling the cops to resolve the incident. When the police came, she started crying. What a bloody time waster for us Grab drivers!
