SAVE SUNGEI ROAD MARKET. (VIDEO)

Singapore, we must learn from the wisdom of our pioneer generations before it’s too late – when our landfill saturates and before they disappear. In the blood of these elderly vendors flows frugality and industry which we sing about yet we do not care to honour. The nation-builders and pioneer vendors sell reused goods for they do not like waste and value things, and not merely for profit-making like those in the modern malls.

If you don’t believe, just head down to the market and chat with them. You’ll learn some good old values and wisdom.

“Why does this market have to be disbanded? Why? What is bad about this market? This market attracts tourists and protects the environment. There are so many old, used goods. If thrown away, it is a waste! Our market is a market that promotes environmental protection. We are not against the government. We are requesting our government. We are not against, we are requesting.”

SG CAR STOPPED BY MALAYSIA POLICE, BUT MALAYSIAN CARS IGNORED FOR SAME OFFENCE

Below is an unpleasant experience that my friend encountered in JB. I’m writing in to alert frequent drivers to JB. Do take note that they’ve changed certain roads direction to one way instead of two ways.

My friend wasn’t aware of it and end up driving the opposite direction. Officers were seen on duty. One of the officer stopped his car and my friend was told to give his NRIC. Meanwhile, my friend saw a lot of cars (Malaysia car plate) driving the opposite direction but officer didn’t stop them. My friend alerted the officer and asked him why they weren’t stopped. He was told to shut up by the officer. Officer was holding on to his NRIC for more than 20 minutes. My friend asked a lot of questions and wasn’t answered. My friend managed to take a video of a Malaysia car that another officer stopped. The officer didn’t take down his particular and let him off after few minutes.

Same offence but different treatment? The officer immediately returned my friend’s NRIC after knowing that he took a video and was told that no action will be taken towards him.
