NETIZEN WONDER IS THE REVO OF NAC’S BIN CENTER REALLY COMPLEX AND COMPLICATED?

It’s a half-structure built onto an existing one. Basically, slapping 3 concrete walls together and a roller shutter entrance.

This is “complex and complicated”?

The NAC management ought to be hauled before the Stupidity Commission and be hung.

Now imagine it was the WP town council which did this. What do you think the PAP and those like Grace Fu would be saying now?

TOOK WRONG BUS TO WOODLAND CHECKPOINT. OFFICERS MADE HIM WAIT OVER 1 HOUR JUST TO LEAVE THE PLACE

I am proud of our country being top in efficiency be it civil service, law enforcement, airport, municipal services etc.however one such incident had to change my perspective on one aspect of the efficient system.

On the evening of 26th July, both my colleague and I had taken a wrong bus to our intended destination, Woodland Bus interchange but instead ended up in Woodland Checkpoint. We could not backtrack and were advised by the ICA officer to report to the Security Pass office so that we would be escorted out of the checkpoint though we were still in Spore side.

We handed our identity cards to the officer in the Pass Office and were told to wait. Later we were joined by a foreign worker who also took a wrong bus. After waiting for 20minutes I approached the officer to check on our status but was told again to wait. After about 45minutes, I was visually upset and asked the officer again but was given the same answer.

There were 5 Aetos officers in a small glass cubicle snacking and chit chatting happily away. When I requested that one of them could escort us out, one of the officers remarked that it was not their purview and responsibility to do so. Another 10minutes had passed, and we including the workers were escorted by another Aetos officer to report to the ICA office. Again, our identity cards were handed to the officer in charge. After waiting another 20 minutes, we were cleared and escorted out through the usual check point where we were scanned.

Again, our identity cards were handed to the officer in charge. After waiting another 20 minutes, we were cleared and escorted out through the usual check point where we were scanned.

We had made an innocent mistake to take the wrong bus but we felt like we were treated like immigration offenders and had to endure the long wait to be escorted out. What deeply upset us was that not one of the 5 Aetos officers was helpful enough to bring us into the ICA office which is a floor below but instead stuck strictly to their defined responsibility.

I wish to question the Home Ministry whether is it standard operating protocols to have these officers sitting inside the office instead of doing their external patrolling.

I accepted and have no objection to complying to ICA procedures but I could not accept and disgusted to find security personnel whiling away their time instead of doing productive works.

I sincerely hope that should there are similar cases, the security officers should take efforts and initiate to help to bring the travellers to the relevant office for clearance instead of having ‘party time’ inside their office.

DOG LEFT IN HOT CAR @ COMPASSVALE. MAKE IT LEGAL FOR US TO BREAK THE WINDOW!

A passerby spotted a dog being left behind in the car under the hot sun. Although the owner had open small bits of the window to allow air flow.

The dog looks uncomfortable and the temperature was very high and consider hot. Imagine your a hair animal in the car under the hot sun. Sounds like a hot dog.

The owner came back after over 20mins. Meaning This was the time the netizen waited for the car owner to come back. Imagine the dog could have been in the car for a longer time.

STRAIGHT ‘A’ STUDENTS REJECTED FOR MED SCH. BUT WELCOME FOREIGN DOCTORS.

Nowadays all government hospital like flooded with foreign doctors. Pinoy, Myanmar, PRC and even Hongkie, you name it they have it.
Question is: why are local University still rejecting straight A’s students when obviously there is demand for doctors? I have heard that local University will not even call for interview when GP is below B3. When I hear some of the Myanmar or PRC doctor speaking English, I doubt they will even be able to score C6 for GP.

So why the discrimination on your own citizens?

Seems like for medical human capital, government is also behaving like corporate when sourcing for IT. Better buy off the shelf, outsource than develop in-house. Does everything boils down to $$$?
Just because somebody is already medically trained does not mean it is good. Just look at this article.
There are several possibilities.
1) Cheaper, better ,faster. cheaper to import than to spend money training local doctors
2) CECA agreement means they are forced to hire India doctors. PAP and India government and citizens benefit. PAP can invest in India, India government can win more votes since they help India citizens to secure jobs overseas.
3) Signed some other agreement with other countries to allow foreigners to work here as doctors. PAP and foreign government huat together.

NETIZEN CLAIMS THE DURIAN SHE BOUGHT FROM YISHUN HAS WORMS IN IT!

I was craving for durians today, so my family head over to Chong Pang market fruits stall (the one with the tentage as shown in the post). The seller kept psycho us to get $18/kg durians but we ended up buying 2 @ $30 even though his attitude was bad (probably because we didn’t get the ones @ $18/kg).

I was the first to taste the durians when we got home since I was craving for it. To my horror, there were worms in the durian, faint ~ FYI, I didn’t notice till the second bite as I felt there were crunchy bits inside the flesh.

Went back to the same stall & told the seller about it. His replied was: 一个而已吗, 在选两个咯 (one only, choose another two lor). LOL fu*k you, who wants to have the second one after the worms have digested into my stomach -.- & the seller don’t even feel apologetic at all. So my dad asked for a refund since we don’t want to have the durians anymore. Another guy passed us the $ and said 拿拿 (take take). Lol hello, we don’t owe you anything. All we want is to get the refund as the incident of having worms already grossed me.

Yishunites or whoever buys fruits from there, just be careful. Please check the quality of the fruits before consuming. You may also consider to buy fruits from the opposite stall instead.

NSF POLICE OFFICER POINTED REVOLVER AT OWN TEAM MEMBER! JAILED 2 MONTHS

Image for illustration Only

A NS officer pointed his empty revolver at a fellow team member at Bugis MRT station.

Justin Degoulange-Chua was convicted on 1 count of causing alarm to his team member, Muhammad Shukri Rahiman and another count of giving false information when investigated. He was part of TransCom for SPF.

The event unfolded when they were taking a break at the police room at Bugis MRT station. Chua was talking about team culture, asking his rookies to perform push-ups, jumping jacks etc.

Chua ordered teammate Shukri to fall into push-up position, took out his baton from Shukri’s holster and placed it on his back while telling to continue doing push-ups. He was then asked to recover from the push-up position. All this was filmed discreetly by another teammate.

Shukri went to take a seat at the table with his team members with Chua just in front of him. Chua then unbuckled his right holster and unloaded 5 live rounds. He put 4 on the table and 1 in his hand. Chua, with his revolver on his right hand, asked Shukri to guess how many bullets were on the table, which Shukri replied.

He pointed his revolver at Shukri and started squeezing the trigger. Shukri panicked and shouted at Chua out of fear. All this was filmed by another friend on Snapchat. He was reported on the same day.

Chua lied to his officer stating that the screws for his revolver was loose and denied pointing his gun at anyone. He only came confessed 3 months later.
