SG GHOST STORIES – 3 Y.O JUMPS OFF HDB WITH DECEASED AT BEDOK NORTH AVE 4

This story has been circulating since the 1990s. It involves the mysterious and tragic death of a young 3 year-old boy, whose father and mother witnessed him jumping out of their HDB flat window to his death after playing with an imaginary “Kor kor” (elder brother in Chinese).

My elderly neighbors said that a long time ago in the block beside my own home at Bedok North Avenue 4, there used to be a famous suicide case where a mother threw her sleeping 3 year old child down from the 25th floor, after which, she fell to her death. The police classified the case as suicide and no foul play was suspected. The exact block is Block 99 I think.

The family had been having money and extra-marital affair problems before the double suicide. The husband had owed loan sharks a lot of money and was seeing another woman, so he wanted a divorce. The wife refused and both quarreled furiously very own. When she committed suicide, she chose to dress in a bright red dress. In Chinese belief, it is believed that those who die dressed in red will return to settle their unaddressed grievance.

She left behind no suicide note, but she wrote something on her wall, “Its not over, darling” (in Chinese) with her own blood!

After the suicide, the husband could not find a buyer to sell the house, so he moved his mistress in and got married. A few years later, they had a son.

When his son turned 3, the boy began to have an imaginary “Kor kor” as a playmate. He would often start talking and laughing in his own room. When the maid went to check, she found the boy smiling and eyes transfixed at the wall and saying “Kor Kor”. The maid told the parents about this spooky event the same day but they brushed it aside saying he was probably just imagining a friend.

That same night, the boy cried very loudly and told his parents that “Kor Kor” bullied him. The father scolded him and told him not to make things up. The boy refused to sleep in his room and so he slept with his parents in their room. That night, loud banging of cupboards and the cries of a child could be heard from the boy’s room. But the cries seemed oddly familiar to the father. It sounded too similar to the cries of his late son.

The husband and wife told their son to stay in their room while they went to check out their son’s room. They entered, but did not see anything. Then they heard the maid scream!

Both husband and wife returned to their bedroom and saw their son standing at the edge of the window. The grilles had been pried open, and their son was there laughing, smiling and waving goodbye to them. He told them he was going to fly like superman with his Kor Kor. He gave one final flying kiss and leaped to his death.

The family never recovered from the tragedy.

The police has classified this case as unnatural death, no foul play was suspected again. Till today, the unit is still vacant as neighbors go around telling potential buyers about the history of the house.

Rumor was that the night of the incident took place, it was the birthday of the 3 year old boy (the one that was thrown down by his mother).

TEACHER LEFT HAND PHONE ON TODDLER. HARMFUL RADIATION!

Location: My First Skool – Blk 950 Hougang Street 91

“Teacher placed handphone on a child’s back while he was taking a nap. Why can’t she place the phone on the floor instead? I feel that this is unacceptable as the radiation from the phone is not good for the child.

“Hope that My First Skool investigates the case and provide an explanation. Meanwhile also hoping that parents who send their child to this particular center take note of this case.”

What the netizen posted on Facebook has some truth to it.

Children face a much higher health risk from mobile phones. The microwave gave off by the device also known as MWR. Children can absorbed almost twice as much MWR than an average adult.

Parents take note!

HELPFUL POLICE OFFICER ESCORTED SICK GIRL TO HOSPITAL! THUMBS UP!

I would like to compliment on officer Koh Wei Jie who’s driving QX842J on 04/07/2017 6.45pm along PIE before BKE exit. He noticed my hubby was driving on road shoulder with hazard lights during peak hours & stopped us. We explained that our Daughter’s Stephanie, was having high fever at 39.2deg; immediately he asked us to follow behind his patrol car.

He escorted us all the way to Mount Elizabeth.

Without his help, we wouldn’t have been able to send my Daughter to the hospital within such a short timing. Once again, thank you!

COMPLIMENTS FOR COMFORT TAXI DRIVER – Mr Yeo

0

Today I was shown kindness by a Comfort taxi driver – Mr Yeo Choon Hwa.

I had to report for my flight at 730am.
I booked a taxi and when I got into the cab, I told the Uncle (yes we call any elderly male stranger Uncle in Singapore) to ‘please rush for me?’

Which is highly unfair because now I am partly making it his responsibility to get me to work in time… but I was that desperate.

Halfway through the journey – I started reaching out for my wallet so that I can quickly pay him and get out.

As the search got more frantic, I realised the worst. I forgot my wallet. I couldn’t believe it. I was now 12 minutes away from the airport. There was NO WAY out. Turning back will mean a day of havoc for me.

Resigning to my fate, I came clean with Uncle.
I told him I forgot my wallet and I wouldn’t be able to pay him at the end of this journey.
He looked up at me through the rear view and gave the most stunning reaction.

He smiled. Kindly. And then asked me what I would like to do.

So I told him, that if he is ok – I’ll take down his details and do a bank transfer when I touch down.
And without skipping a beat, he agreed.

I got to the airport just in time. Uncle even came out and helped me with my bags and just before I dashed off – he asked me if I had enough money for my travels and if I needed some.

Yeah. Crybaby moment for me. Still is.
Even after transferring the amount + bonus, I don’t think any amount can ever repay what he did.

Here’s to all our Taxi Uncles. ❤️❤️❤️

Ah Long

When applying for a loan, the staff is good, but the collectors act like ah long. Don’t know why this company get them to do collection, is no good to the company.

 Average

The staff aren’t the most polite, it’s only a loan but expect them to treat you like a criminal. They aren’t outright rude but mocking and prying. Lots of document proof needed even just for a few hundred dollars loan and expect lots of questions. Interest rates are rather high and repayment is weekly. Payday is monthly for everyone, therefore, it makes no logical sense for weekly repayment, how does that work? It’s all about them making money in the end and for the borrower to feel anxiety as each repayment week approaches.People need a loan for many reasons. In my case it was a robbery incident overseas that resulted in several monetary loses and inconveniences, but they will still treat you with disdain.I hear at City Hall there is a much better money lender company that has good customer service, saw the company name in hardware zone forum, find the thread where everyone reviews their experiences on money lender companies. Singapore is becoming a soulless, sad, dystopian country to live in, where no one gives a sh*t about lending a helping hand, even if you have genuine grievances. Namaste.

SG: MUM LIFE LOST. DAUGHTER RECEIVED $1 MILLION BILL FROM HOSPITAL!!!!

$1,018,469.29

Healthcare or Nightmare?

10 doctors, 58 days in the ICU, 1 gigantic bill, Mum’s life lost.

Never in my life would I have ever imagined I’d see a S$1 million medical bill.

$350,000 in medications… Over a thousand doses of drugs.. I felt so helpless when mum’s kidneys failed.

One thing for sure is this… If I had known that 18 May would be the last day of her life, I would rather spend $350,000 on bringing mum the greatest joyful, loving, happiest and most comforting experiences, rather than have her go through 58 extremely painful suffering days immobile in a cold and sterile hospital room.

Looking back, it is all a lack of the right knowledge that cost my mum’s life. The painful unknown is… I will never know whether we did the right thing to send mum in through these doors.

There are many health alternatives that can help reverse cancer. However, what is the DOSE and FREQUENCY required to achieve that outcome? Unfortunately it is mostly trial and error, and in mum’s instance, she was unable to consume the dose required to reverse her condition.

Because of this, we were selectively close-minded to recommendations. There were many doctors, alternatives and nutritional supplements that family & friends recommended. We explored some and missed many. However, if we stayed 100% open and explored ALL alternatives, one of them may have been able to save mum. A very costly regret…

We didn’t realise how urgent cancer was. For someone with a generally healthy diet with natural foods and active lifestyle, if cancer strikes, find out if “targeted chemotherapy” is available. For aggressive treatment as chemotherapy, it needs to be administered as soon as possible while the body still has health reserves and is able to bounce back.

We also made the mistake of thinking “all hospitals are the same”. There is a HUGE difference in SPEED and EXPERTISE for public healthcare and private specialists. For a woman over 50’s and post-menopause, if there is unusual swelling in the abdomen, a detailed scan to check for tumour is required immediately. When mum was first admitted in January, the doctors took 2 long weeks to discover the tumour. Something that the right scan would instantly reveal.

Unfortunately, I feel that the entire healthcare ecosystem is such that specialists and private facilities are gravely expensive, and billing is structured in a way to max-out insurance payout in a cold and professionally institutionalised way. My heart felt cold when I saw that on mum’s $1 million bill, she was referred to as “Customer” and not “Patient”..

It is truly regretful that we were ignorant about mum’s insurance coverage. Had we known that mum’s insurance covered private specialist treatments, we could’ve sought private specialist expertise from Day 1.

At the end of the day… there are a ton of what-ifs and grey areas. What is right? What is wrong? One thing for sure is this.. Nothing can be done now to reverse the situation. Nothing can turn back time. And our hearts will miss mum forever…

More than ever now, I deeply feel that “If you do not invest time, money and energy in your health, you will spend your fortune on sickness”.

Ignorance is gravely costly. The right knowledge saves lives and protects families.

I hope this post has helped someone out there.

May we live with vigour, and die without suffering.

Rest in peace my beloved mummy…
