I can see a lot you people are sharing International Human Rights Lawyer Mr M Ravi’s FB live videos and making fun of him.Rewind about 10 years back and you will know who is he.Me and my dad sees him as the most bravest person and genuine guy who thinks and care about others.

A man who we should look & accept as an example of being a real human .A man who sacrifice himself for others. Me and my dad started following him since he took over Yong Vui Kong (a Malaysian citizen who was sentenced to death in Singapore for trafficking a sum of grams of heroin in 2007 ) case.Mr Ravi is the man who saves Yong two days before the scheduled date of Yong’s execution. The case took almost 4 years and Mr Ravi did not gave up until finally Yong’s death penalty was officially lifted. He has become the first drug trafficker on death row to have his sentence reduced to life imprisonment and caning (15 strokes), under amendments made to the Misuse of Drugs Act .

All of you who are criticizing him, I’m sure you don’t know who he is & what he has done for his country and ours years back in 2008 till 2014. In another word i would define him as ”

The man with steel balls “. Unfortunately , he was suspended for two years since Oct 2016 for by a Court of Three Judges for his mental condition for acting “deplorably in relation to the judiciary, his clients and the profession as a whole.” The sad part is , Mr M.Ravi is a very unwell person and suffering from bipolar disorder.

On his latest video he did mention that his mother committed suicide in September 2003 , if it was true , then imagine and see as a son what kind of situation he would have been and the amount of depression he carried. He is also a classical dancer since he was a teenager. I would like to ask to those who who make fun of him without knowing his background on what he had done or in another word ” Sacrificed” do you even have 1/5th of his knowledge or experience he had??, you people are not even a bit of his standard to condemn him.

Go and do a bit of research on him and what he had done for people before you curse him. Do not simply go around speculating stories about others when u cant even clean your own shit. I dont want to write more on this as i believe if you people got so much time to share peoples video and condemning , then you should have enough time to do a bit of research on this “HERO” and know better who is he.

A woman was attacked by a wild boar at Windsor Park, which the nearest road is Sin Ming. The woman had a 10cm wound and required almost 60 stitches.

It has been reported on last Friday evening while walking her pet dog in the park, a wild boar appeared and attacked her. She was gored by the boar in the calf area and fell on the floor. She also suffered from multiple abrasions from the attack.

The woman has been traumatised and said that she will never return to that area for a walk.

I was invited to be a panel member in an investment seminar organized by a subsidiary of a large media company in Singapore. I asked the staff to telephone me. I received a call at the arranged time.

TKL – Can you tell me about the format of the panel discussion. How many panel members? How many people in the audience?

Staff – The panel will comprise of 4 people, including you, and a moderator. It will take 45 minutes. We expect about 200 people in the audience.

TKL – What do I get for spending the time? Can I distribute a flyer to the audience?

Staff – We do not pay any speaker or panel member. We will put your name in our website. Sorry, we cannot distribute your flyer. We have a paid service to distribute flyers.

TKL – You ask me to spend time and pay me nothing. You want to charge me for distributing a flyer?

Staff – Sorry, Mr. Tan. We don’t pay any of the speakers. So, we can’t pay you.

TKL – Do you get the venue (Suntec City) for free? I know that you probably have to pay a lot of money for the venue. Why can’t you spend some money to pay your speakers?

(The staff must think that I want the money for myself! I don’t need it, but other speakers or panel members are not so well off as me. Usually I donate the fee to the Financial Services Consumer Association)

TKL – I have been invited by a Swiss organization to speak to the participants of their management programme. Do you know how much they pay me for 45 minutes, including questions and answers?

Staff – Maybe $10,000?

TKL – No. Not so much. It is a small group. They pay me $2,000. And they have been re-inviting me for several years.

TKL – I know that you would probably have to pay $50,000 or more to invite a foreign speaker to give a keynote address. Why can’t you set aside a budget to give a modest fee to local speakers? Why do you want to exploit the local speakers to this extent?

Staff – Sorry, Mr. Tan. This is the local practice. We have been doing it like this for many years.

TKL – I will be posting this conversation in social media.

Staff – Mr. Tan, please don’t. I will get into trouble. If you don’t want to speak, OK. But please don’t post into social media.

This will be a a long story, free then read. It is about Taxi, U/G and passengers.

This is not against who right or who wrong, this is what’s happening to the transport industry now….

PHV had taken most of Taxi business, this is a fact, no doubt. Passengers are booking thru apps, very few are waiting on the streets, time have changed, I think we need to change as well.

Even hotels are affected by AirBnb, and many other apps which I didn’t know of.

JustGrab

We know most of the time the fare sucks, for both TD & GC drivers, every passenger is using it, even those staying in private estate are using it, either you accept the booking or you didn’t earn that low fare at all.

JustGrab takes 10% of the fare from Taxi & 20% from Car, for a trip fare of $10, $1 or $2 will go to Grab

Most of the time I don’t see any paxs on the streets, JG bookings non stop. $8 fare I take, I can take 4 calls in an hour, better than I go round & round for 30mins no fare.

Even in Orchard during slow hours, many taxis are queuing at taxi stands, many people, none are taking taxis, all are looking at their phones for G/U, Why? Price !!!
Taking a taxi in town will cost more than PHV, but when U/G surge, all will book taxi instead cause it’s cheaper.

As a passenger, of course I take the cheapest, true or not???

*Please la, you are consider working, wear something presentable.
*Many PHV drivers compare taxi vs PHV on the child seat requirement, why taxi no need, PHV need, write in for it.

Young PHV drivers to take note

*Have you wonder if U/G ban your account due to passenger compliant, what will happen to your rental car? Still need to pay rental till contract ends?
*Have you asked who will pay for the hospital fee for the passengers if you meet with an accident? Insurance pay how much? Insurance pays all? What about the balance?
*Have you asked what is your accident excess? $4000? Still need to pay rental during car repair?
*Do you know all expenses for your car including rental & petrol are not income tax deductible?
*Do keep half of your salary since PHV drivers can earn $7000 (https://www.google.com.sg/url…) for housing, you need to pay for house in the future, as PHV drivers have no CPF. You will need to down $47K for a 4 room flat with monthly payment of $2327, source from sg.finance.yahoo.com

For Passengers

*If next time PHV surge and you cannot get a taxi, do book a CDG Limo taxi, it will be much cheaper than a PHV. Booking fee of $10. Tel: 6552 1111
*Children under 1.35meters will need child seat by LAW for PHV, Taxi no child seat rules, please don’t say “Why last driver can, you cannot”
*1 PHV car only 4 passengers, children included. No more than 4 please

*Bus stop is for Bus, not for any other vehicles to stop for drop off or pick up

This Singaporean lady named Tiffanie Ko bought a new iphone from me on installment plan but she cannot pay back full amount.

And after not paying for few payments I requested her to return the phone but she refused, stating that she sold away the phone already. Please make her viral so others will know and beware not to sell her anything on installment plan as she is out to scam anyone and everyone.

She will stalk carousell and similar online platform for victims. While still not able to make her installment payment, she called my friend wanting to buy an E-scooter and another rose gold color iphone. Seller on online platform please BEWARE of her scamming tactics to avoid being scam by her.
