Today I was molested by my GrabHitch driver.
I generally sit in front for hitch cos they aren’t grab drivers but just random Singaporeans like you and me, on the way to somewhere and pick people along their route for extra cash.. He seemed a little dodgy but I thought I shouldn’t judge a book by its cover so I just sat in front. He was ok the whole way, just normal conversation on how to get there and I was busy settling emails on my phone so I didn’t make much conversation. I barely made eye contact.
When I reached my destination, I had to get cash out for the guy so I had reach to my bag under the seat to get my wallet. Space was v tight so my leg kena his hand which was on the gear stick.. I quickly pulled to the side and said sorry. Then while I was looking down he quickly touched my leg and said “you have super legs”. I thought I heard wrong/ accidentally hit me cos the space was tight. So I was like “what?” and he replied “you have super legs”. At this point i replied “huh?” and u can tell I’m super annoyed. Then he replied “I think your legs are really sexy” with a really creepy smile. I shot back a very disgusted “okay..” And tried to settle the payment as fast as I could. When it was settled I just said “thanks” while I grabbed my things and he took the opportunity to stroke my leg a longer while this time and said “I really.. love your legs” and he had this fking creepy smile. I was honestly in shock and I didn’t want to do or say anything in case he locked me in the car or anything so I quickly just rushed out and slammed the door…
Soon after I lodged a complaint to Grab via phone call cos I assumed it might be resolved faster if I gave a verbal account direct to the customer service and they might be able to solve things on the spot. However I told the service assistant that i was molested by my driver + he touched my leg but he just proceeded to make a report on my behalf and didn’t even apologize for my horrible experience? He just told me they will follow up on the issue and call me or email me. It was very unsettling..
Right now I’m going to lodge a police report, and after that file a more official written complaint to grab and get this guy suspended.
Ladies especially, do watch out for the grab profiles of your drivers and DO NOT TAKE THIS GUY’S CAR. I know some might think “it’s just your leg what” but it was still very traumatic for me. I hope he gets caught and no other girl has to go through my experience. I guess from now I’ll just take precautions and sit behind.. Sorry to all the nice GrabHitch-ers out there :/
** UPDATE-
The driver has been suspended by Grab and will be reported to the police by Grab as well. Apart from my own report.
Another funny thing happened which is that he tried to call me WHILE Grab called to let me know they suspended him and told him to never contact me again?! Obviously I did not pick up. The operator from Grab then assured me by helping me contact him to remind him not to call me again.

When I was in high school I had a biology teacher, probably in her late 30’s/early 40’s, who had a reputation for flirting with her male students.
One of my classmates was a football player, a very nice kid and very good looking, but not the best student. I remember at one point, before a test, the boy saying he had studied for almost 2 hours; he was so determined to do well. In my school, 65 was a passing grade.
She failed him with a 64. He was devastated, and began to cry at his desk. What happened next I will never forget: the teacher smiled, said “awww”, sat on his lap, and kissed his cheek.
She thought it was cute that this kid was crying, and don’t even get me started on how inappropriate it was of her to sit on his lap and kiss him, cheek or no. The rest of us just sat there, completely dumbfounded. I had never liked that particular teacher, but after that I loathed her.

A Muslim couple may have to spend their Hari Raya homeless as HDB will evict them by 30th June if they can’t pay the rental default of $414 or 3 months’ rental.
The husband is a pest controller – he has two sons and a wife who looks after the kids.
His salary is only $1000 before CPF deduction.
There are other outstanding bills eg SP and S & C but the rental one seems more important as it means having a important roof over their head.
If you can help out with any amount, please pay it at any AXS machine with the account number taken from the post: 2810-0792-6-14
Don’t let them celebrate Hari Raya homeless!

Location: Changi Airport Terminal 3, nursing room next to Hello Kitty Cafe.
My husband and I were in the midst of changing my daughter’s diaper when this man barge in. Intruding our privacy.
The nursing room was not spacious and could only fit one family at a time. There was no lock and our pram was parked next to the door. This man, knowing the room was occupied and the pram was in the way, still opened the door, squeezed and barged in to fill up his flask with hot water. Hubby and I were not pleased about his inconsideration but we kept quiet. So be it.
When this man wanted to leave and our pram was still in his way to get out, he shook his head and gave a “dirty” look. I then told him that this is a nursing room. He raised his voice and barked it’s meant for public use and he’s not in the wrong. He dared us to call security, which I went to but there was none around. My husband shouted “security” loudly and the guy quickly left.
To be fair, if no one was using the nursing room and he went in to take hot water, that’s fine. BUT we were not ok with the intrusion of privacy as we were changing our daughter’s diaper. There were clear signs on the nursing room door and water dispenser. I’ve also lodged a police report with the APP for intrusion of privacy. But was told it may only be a blank report for record purpose as no offense was committed, i.e. The man did not take photos of my daughter, or the man did not tamper with the lock to enter the room.
As a parent, I’m definitely not ok with a stranger, some more this is a man we are talking about, barging in whilst changing my daughter’s diaper. I’m bringing this up as I’m sure many other parents face this issue as well. And also to feedback to @Changi Airport to have locks installed at nursing rooms.
If this man is an airport staff, I hope the management @Changi Airport will take the necessary action.
*Edited to add that friends have pointed out of a Walkie talkie in the man’s shirt pocket, so possibly an airport staff. He also had his phone camera faced out and we can’t be sure of his intention either.*

A 34-year-old uber driver turned up to collect the applications forms for the next presidential election that is to be held in September.
When the reporters asked him “this is a reserved election for the Malay candidates, How do you intend to qualify”
“I understand this is a reserved election for the minorities a.. for the Malay candidates. I think the verdict is not out yet. There is always a chance…”
When asked about the second qualifying criteria about being a CEO and headed a company with $500 million shareholders equity. He said that is another limiter.
Every time when it’s Ramadan, people will head to Geylang Serai bazaar to purchase Deng-deng. I find that they’re just expensive and not that great anyways as they’re always thick and soft. So since my family loves Deng-deng so much and requested I made it from scratch for them, I thought why not and here they are… Surprise!!
I want to share my recipe with you all in case you want to try it out yourself. Trust me, it’s worthed it. I used ground beef -2kg and managed to get 15 packs in total. For the record, I do not use any measurements
in all my cooking. I just put according to judgement and tasting till I’m satisfied they’re good to go. So be prepared that the ingredients I provided below have no measurements. So for the mix, I used;
1. Light soya sauce
2. Fish sauce
3. Sesame oil
4. Thai sweet chilli sauce
5. Ground black pepper
6. Piri-Piri spices
7. Honey
8. Fine granulated sugar
*combine them well and follow the instructions as indicated in the pictures below.

Final mix and marinate for 4 hours in the fridge

Place a scoopful in a plastic bag and using the rolling pin to flatten the meat to the thickness of your desire.

This is the final look. Put them in the freezer for a night.

Grilled them in the over at 160 degress for a total of 20 mins. Grilled at 10 mins for each side. Spreading a mixture of oil and sugar water to get the gloss. Leave to rest for 10 mins once it’s out of the oven. Here’s the deng-deng ready to be devoured!!

Here’s who I used to be – a very outgoing, bubbly person – the kind that loves to meet new people and old friends alike. Like a lot. At least I used to be like this. In JC, I used to be the center of every party (or so I thought). I used to basically enjoy life.
But something never felt right – I was never a part of a group I could belong to. I was everywhere but yet was lonely. I realised this much earlier and I was right because I have almost no friends from JC. My boyfriend and I broke up as well so I have really no one.
Now I am very different, the break-up killed me and I messed up my A Levels. Luckily the results turned out to be good enough for the course I wanted. But the break up changed me. I really started cherishing friends – which I had almost none by then. I started focusing on knowing each individual well instead of knowing a lot of people. I was getting better. But not really? My social skills have taken a toll. I have very few friends who also have their own cliques apart from meeting me. I try my best to know more people but I fail. I am not that popular kid anymore.
I was getting better. But not really? My social skills have taken a toll. I have very few friends who also have their own cliques apart from meeting me. I try my best to know more people but I fail. I am not that popular kid anymore.
What I feel sad about is that I still do not belong to any group. All the popular kids hurdle together for studying and when going out. I crave to be one of them. I see them every day and I do know quite a few but I am not one of them. Heck, even if I am not popular, all I wanted was to belong somewhere; I wanted to be able to call a group of people mine.
I am awkward around people now, I try my best to be cheerful but I can’t take it anymore. I feel like I am an extrovert trapped inside an introvert’s body. I met all the popular kids for Orientation Preparation last week. I just left halfway. I cannot stand it anymore. It is really sad although it might sound like its nothing. I fear
I cannot stand it anymore. It is really sad although it might sound like its nothing. I fear to finish uni and not having a group of friends to meet again because that’s how it is for my past schools.
