HELP NICKSON (SG TEEN) TO FIGHT LEUKAEMIA!!
My name is Nickson, and this is my story. Just like any teenager, I am an active 15 years old boy, with my bright future in front of me and filled with zest of life ahead of me. I have always been leading an active lifestyle, and an avid basketball player and I even qualified for a slot for Singapore Youth Basketball Team. Life was truly amazing for me!
However, on a fateful day in September 2015, I collapsed at home due to high fever and after several tests, doctors revealed that I’m is suffering from an aggressive form of leukemia. My world came tumbling down, and not sure what to think of a 15 years old.
Thereafter, we seek medical attention from both KK Hospital and NUH, specializing in childhood leukemia. I underwent chemotherapy and I harvested my father’s bone marrow in the hope for a full recovery in Sep 2016 in which I suffered a relapse just 3 months later which is in Nov 2016. After the relapse, my father’s cell was subsequently harvested to support the treatment of my leukemia while searching for a compatible unrelated donor.
During the interim while looking for a compatible donor, we will have to repeat the harvesting of my father’s cells and the usage of a German drug by the name of Blinatumomab in order to stabilise my condition. The drug, Blinatumomab, cost about roughly SGD $220,000 in which is infused into the body over a period of one month. I am lucky to be insured under insurance for all treatments I’m doing in Singapore but for any procedures, various blood tests and treatments that my father is doing in order to harvest his cells to me (or if there’s any matching donors) insurance or Medisave doesn’t cover them and we’ve to pay solely in cash.
However, the doctors in Singapore recommend us to seek treatment for in Seattle Hospital in USA, as it is the only place in the world for cell therapy and there are already two successful proven cases who have returned back to Singapore with full recovery results.
All the health insurance in Singapore can only cover local treatments, and not overseas treatment. The deposit for the hospital in Seattle requires a minimum of SGD $700,000, and my parents were at the complete shock and lost in their thoughts upon hearing the treatment cost, and it’s way beyond our means.
As parents, I know they want their children to be healthy, and if there’s anything wrong with us, they will always seek the best possible treatment for us. We’re not sure if we can find any unrelated donors at this stage, but the possibility of me recovering through cell therapy is high, and we’re sincerely urging your kind helping hand and generosity to help my parents to lessen the burden and fundraise for my treatment
My father is the sole breadwinner of the family, and my mom has become a full-time housewife in order to take care of me and my brother.
My life is not even half way through and the option for the cell therapy there is by far the most feasible and effective option for my full recovery. Results were already proven with two patients having gone there for the similar treatments and came back with very good results leading to a complete recovery from the dreadful disease. The cure that best fits my stubborn persistent leukemia is only available in Seattle.
I and my family can never thank you enough for helping us for this fundraising for my treatment in the States and our family will forever be indebted to all the help and support we have received. Thank you so much for all the kind assistance rendered and we wish all good health.

According to online sources the man was drinking when another guy approach and started the incident.

By reaching a deal with Aireon LLC, SITAONAIR and FlightAware LLC to enable it to keep track the flight paths of its aircraft wherever in the world with the airline which lost a wide-body jet with 239 people aboard three years ago.
According to an emailed media release from Aireon this would comprise aircraft flying over the Polar Regions and the most remote oceans.
As a result of Aireon’s launching a new satellite network with Iridium Communications Inc. that will let it to monitor air traffic around the world thus monitoring service is made possible.
It’s projected to be completed in 2018.

I TOLD THE “TRUTH” DURING MY HR EXIT INTERVIEW AND IT’S BACKFIRE!
I was an employee of XXX Company for around 2 years though I love my job and colleague but the bosses are toxic. I thought long before deciding to leave and I thought better to just leave and not stir sh*t.
What I did next during the exit interview was one of my greatest mistake I that I made, the HR manager somehow convinced me to tell any grievances or unhappiness I had seeing that I was quite an above average performer who didn’t mind putting in the extra hours for the company.
I thought I was in a “safe” zone and began to reveal all the unethical and unprofessional things that happened to include why it was the reason I was out the door.
A few years later and it was discovered that HR Manager had noted the unfavourable points and used it when other companies had called for references to not give a favourable endorsement of their employment.
Fortunately the hiring manager was a friend of mine and he told me what had happened plus I had a recommendation from the upper management so I was still able to secure a job. My advice to never trust what your HR would say if you want to leave just leave quietly cos it’s of no benefits to tell them the truth and it may end up back firing.

RUI EN IS IN THE SPOTLIGHT AGAIN. THROWS NEIGHBOR’S PHONE IN RAGE!
According to Chinese dailies, local CH8 actress Rui En is in the centre of another controversy, this time over her act of flying into a rage when she could not get a phone to dial the numbers she wanted.
Reports say that at 6PM on 20 April, Rui En appeared at her neighbor’s door asking for a power bank because her phone was dead. The elderly couple at the door told her they did not have a power bank and they invited her in to use their landline.
When Rui En tried dialing her number but could not get through, she threw the phone in anger twice. She finally managed to get a call through to her maid.
The elderly couple told reporters that Rui En appeared impatient and agitated throughout the whole episode and even ordered her elderly neighbors to go upstairs to retrieve some items for her. She did not thank them for their help afterwards.
After the incident broke out on the news, Rui En promptly apologized to her neighbors with a gift basket. The couple have accepted her apology but not the gift basket.
This is the third time the actress has gotten the wrong kind of publicity. In April last year, she knocked over a stationary motorbike at a car park in Clementi, and responded to the rider of the vehicle when confronted: “Do you kow who I am?”
Subsequently in December, she was also captured on video dangerously overtaking another vehicle near a cross junction in Orchard Road.
She has since apologized for both incidents.
