*SCAM ALERT!*
This guy named Gilbert Ong added me on Facebook and I saw that there’s mutual friend, hence accepted the friend request. He then asked for my WhatsApp (his contact number is at +1(816)6957420) and there goes the conversation as shown in the screenshots. (I only took those that is showing information where his “scam” conversations started)
By the way, he shared that he’s from Texas, US, an American born Chinese. (These information were also written on his fb page with a profile photo of his face where it looks like a normal active fb profile). He’s working as a Petroleum Engineer, offshore. His photo (dunno if is genuine) was up on his fb page previously but it has been deactivated since then. Hence I could not capture a screenshot of his photo and profile information.
This case happened last week and I was waiting for them to reply me but soon enough his fb profile was not “activated” till today. His WhatsApp profile picture is gone. And both himself and the “courier” didn’t reply me after I asked for the consignment number of the parcel he mentioned.
I didn’t call up the number (Courier WhatsApp contact at +6582040021) but instead, I called into the TNT EXT Courier Service (Google Search) and the customer service representative asked me to check for the consignment number so that they can track the parcel for me.
Will call up and inform the genuine courier company to alert them about this case.
PS. This is the first time I received such a request. Would like to share and alert everyone about this type of scam cases that might reach you in the future.
Do NOT be fooled by them and please report the case to the necessary authorities if you do encounter such cases.
Do share this around so that you can prevent others from being cheated from such scams, especially if they ask you to pay for something even if the amount is very small.

Dear Singapore Uncensored,
Loanshark harrassment still making the news, even after stiffer penalties to be given to those found guilty of harrassment.
The recent one was residents waking up to find their letterboxes at Old Airport Road being given a green paint ‘makeover’. According to the man shamed by the loansharks, he had paid his debt, but had refused to pay some additional interest.
Hopefully the Police can arrest the offender soon. We don’t want loansharks making life difficult for others, when the target obvioulsy had nothing to do with them apart from just being a neighbour.

From the last five years, foreigners which make up from work permit and S-pass holders caused around 45% of heavy vehicle related accident.
On 4/4/2017, Parliamentary Secretary for Home Affairs Amrin Amin in Parliament publicised this.An average each year of 791 accidents with injury involving heavy vehicles and 39 fatal accidents over the span of five year which includes buses and goods vehicles.
The traffic police will carry out a tachograph trial on heavy vehicles this year which tracks and accounts the vehicle’s speed and other driving statistics. “Companies that are involved in the trial will be able to track their drivers’ tachograph records and improve their drivers’ driving behaviour,” Mr Amin said
In order to ensure that motorists drive at safe speeds along the entire stretch of the road. Traffic police will also be positioning Average Speed Cameras to discover and calculate the average speed of a vehicle as it enters and exits a camera enforcement zone.

My son saw my pictures! I am so embarrassed! I self-took some videos and pictures last week using my iPad. Then yesterday my 22 year old son asked about the pictures we took when we went to a condo show flat two weeks ago. I absent mindedly passed him the iPad and told him to take a look himself.
My iPad has no pass-code. When he returned the iPad an hour later, he looked weird! I didn’t think about it until just now!!! He must have seen the videos I took of myself posing naked and in my lingerie.
I feel so embarrassed now. I don’t know whether he has copied the videos and pictures as he returned my iPad only after one hour.
Here is another reason why it is dangerous in Johor Bahru. This CCTV footage was captured from the 8th of March 2017. A car deliberately hit another car to make the driver stop.
After the driver stops and checks for damages. The gang comes out of the car and rob the victim of the vehicle. This is typically done with a knife and with extreme violence to force the victim to submit and not retaliate against the gang’s crimes.
Who knows if you get raped in the process.
Another reason why I don’t drive when I go Johor Bahru. I rather pay a little bit more for a taxi rather than make my life difficult. Insurance is going be difficult to claim.
