WEIRD GUY IMPERSONATE CHIOBU ON FB. TAG HIMSELF WITH HER. WHAT A L…….

“Hi all, please beware of this guy named Wen Hong.
My facebook account has been temporarily banned as he kept reporting my account and posts of exposing him impersonating me.
He created an account claiming to be me as his “girlfriend” during December 2015. I had no idea of what’s going on, as he blocked me from viewing the vessel account. I only knew what was going on from a friend yesterday (24/2/2017), and I do not personally know him.
I did publish a facebook post, telling my friends to report the fake account and clarified the misunderstanding. As you can see, I confronted Wen Hong and he admitted impersonating me. He apologized but most of his replies were absurd.
Please share this, thank you! (As my posts are removed and I cannot report, so I’m putting this here)”

How to spot a Hoax when you see it!

ย
The very first thing that should trigger alarm bells is when someone says โ€œa friendโ€™s friend familyโ€ or โ€œmy sisterโ€™s friendโ€™s colleagueโ€™s sonโ€ or โ€œmy girlfriendโ€™s dogโ€™s previous ownerโ€™s landlordโ€™s motherโ€™s granduncleโ€™s gynaecologistโ€. If it isnโ€™t first hand info, it probably isnโ€™t real.
ย Second, not a single person involved in the story was named. If it isnโ€™t verifiable, it is even less probably real.
There are always three consistent elements to fake stories. It always takes place in a real and familiar establishment (in this case, Legoland, though which one in the world isnโ€™t specified). It always involves a very trivial slip (the friendโ€™s friend family โ€“ ah, never even say if mother father or granduncleโ€™s gynaecologist โ€“ โ€œtaking her eyes off her 6 year old for just a momentโ€), and the description of an elaborate, yet believable-if-you-really-think-about-it crime being committed mid-pants down with at best a very vague description of a perpetrator who is not identifiable, much less prosecutable.
Finally, the only legitimate times I see a story ending with a plead to โ€œPlease spreadโ€ with a generous dose of exclamation marks is when I see postings of missing kids and elderly (with clear identification, including names, state of dress and last seen location). Seriously, if I wanted to share the true story of my kidney being stolen while I was in a drunken stupor, Iโ€™d call the New Paper or The Online Citizen, not ask my Facebook friends to help me make my post viral.
Iโ€™ve written at length about how stuff like this (think the AMK Hub and Tampines false kidnapping allegations back in 2012) creates not just unnecessary moral panic but an otherwise irrational fear of anything and anyone that doesnโ€™t reside within the confines of your home. Iโ€™ve even helped to derail a suspicious story last year about the child-grabbing incident at a PCF Education Centre. And yet, yesterday someone asked me who does this kind of thing, and why these stories still persist.
I said, โ€œConspiracy mongers are dangerous animals. Their naivete feeds the innocent to make them naive as well. I would rather kill the fire than quietly let it breed.โ€ The statement only addresses the messengers, though, and not the source. For that, I told her of a conspiracy theory the Wife told me about once that might explain the fascination with things that go viral in the online world.
It is common practice for biologists to create viruses that do not otherwise exist in the wild to experiment with (some PR and marketing agencies experiment as well, with viral campaigns; heck, even I do it). The noble ones are looking for a better vaccine to fight off a related strain. Then there are the others, who just want to see how far their creations can spread, without consideration of consequences.
So imagine, if you will (and I reiterate again, this is a conspiracy theory), that a number of years ago, scientists created a potent virus with air- and water-borne capabilities that can only affect humans, and as an indicator of its having taken effect on its human host โ€“ as well as its mode of transport โ€“ itโ€™ll give people runny noses. Then for the sake of studying the effectiveness of such a virus, a mere 2 drops of it was dropped from an overhead bridge onto an interstate train, with the assumption that the virus will die off after a couple of days and no one would be the wiser. What was intended to be a study in how sickness may travel in a populated area, mutated to become a permanent fixture in the human condition called influenza, or the common cold.
Stories like the one shared above are extra-deplorable to The Blogfather because it targets the very insecurities that parents will have, at best causing a nagging anxiety within families to their childโ€™s interaction with an ย otherwise harmless world, and at worst empowering the fear in their hearts that the world is not safe for anyone, and converting us all into unresponsive, untrusting introverts who want nothing to do with anyone, because they now think every single person is inherently evil and should never be engaged, thanks to an elaborate lie.
Moral of the story? Doesnโ€™t matter if youโ€™re the originator or just a helpful messenger; know that everything you do has consequences, and make sure the consequences of your actions donโ€™t make the world permanently sick.

Most Malaysians in Singapore do not plans become Singaporeans!!

0

Chinese daily Shin Min Daily News reported on Sunday (5 Jan) that 87% of Malaysians in Singapore do not want to become Singaporeans. They are only interested in earning Singapore dollars, according to a survey.

Apparently, China Press conducted a survey recently through telephone calls and Facebook contacts. They reported that 87% of Malaysians working in Singapore do not have any intention to convert to Singapore citizenship. They are only here for the money.

The survey polled 100 Malaysians in Singapore. 21 of them said that they love their country, Malaysia. Hence, they have no intention of migrating to Singapore. Others cited the high cost of living in Singapore, the accompanying pressure and difficult housing policies. Last August, for example, HDB changed its housing policy so that new permanent residents have to wait three years before they can buy a resale HDB flat.

However, Malaysians would still like to work in Singapore because of the strong Singapore dollar (S$) as against the Malaysian ringgit (RM). Currently, S$1 can exchange for RM3.1

With respect to the survey results, MP for Holland-Bukit Timah GRC, Liang Eng Hwa, told Shin Min that since Singaporeโ€™s economy is good, it is inevitable that the pressure is greater. He said, โ€œBut I believe there are still Malaysians who want to come to Singapore to make a living (ไฝ†ๆˆ‘็›ธไฟก่ฟ˜ๆ˜ฏๆœ‰ๆƒณ่ฆๆฅๆœฌๅœฐๅ‘ๅฑ•็š„้ฉฌๅ›ฝไบบ)โ€.

He said that various industries such as renovation and construction require Malaysian workers. But this group of people will return to Malaysia after work everyday because their family is there. This cannot be helped.

Mr Liang is a Managing Director of DBS Bank and Deputy Chairman of the Government Parliamentary Committee for National Development and Environment.

2 Malaysians were interviewed in the Shin Min article. An engineer, Mr Choo, 26, said he graduated from a Singapore university and has been working in Singapore for the past 3 years. He thinks that his Malaysian sense of identity is strong even though he had studied in Singapore. Mr Choo said such a sense of identity cannot be instilled by the peace and economic prosperity of Singapore. He thinks that is why most Malaysians do not want to convert and become Singaporeans. He still owes school fees in S$. Hence it makes sense for him to earn in S$. And with the strong S$, he can make more money in terms of RM.

Ms Lee, who studies at a local polytechnic, said that she hopes to become a PR and work here. She said, โ€œMy uncle and aunt have been in Singapore for 7 to 8 years. They came here to earn S$. However, they think that the pressure living

Water prices should raise at 50% or up to 100%: NTU economics professor

Professor Ng Yew-Kwang opinion on the water price that would increase by 30 per cent over the next 2 year feels that the increase should be larger to clearly show the cost of water production.

In his view, from a complete economy point of view it will too little and it can increase it further more. The NTU economics professor fell that at least 50% if not 100% hike should be done.

Prof Ng nearly for 20 years since 2000 water prices have not been increased. He feels that the public has to pay to replicate it as it is pricey to produce water.

ST James Power Station Becoming Next Geylang?

As a resident of Bt Purmei and regular Church goer at St Theresa’s, I hope the authorities which already have knowledge of the insanity occurring nightly across at Club’s of St James Power Station will really take concrete action to stem the problem of gang fights when the parties are over.

It has become common knowledge that the Club is an assembly place where members of different gangs go to party or consume and sell drugs at its premises and fights occur when trades ply or paths cross as it is fast becoming a nuisance when they clash along the streets near the Church and our residences, especially when we need a good night’s rest. Worse still, they become emboldened after authorities go soft on them for fear of human rights activists who might campaign on their behalf as 1 officer verbally alleged in response to my complains. I was like, since when did we become chickens on crime? When LKY died?

We then surfaced this recurring problem to Sam Tan the MP who promised to ‘do something’ but it is still the same night after night and the gangs are not even afraid of the white elephant riot police trucks seen outside on weekends. My teenage daughter who reads your site suggested that I highlight this for your publication and I hope you share the same sentiment that human rights abuses and criminals are 2 very different and separate matters and its no joke should Singapore become lawless and violent. I feel that these youths should put energy where their mouths are and join people like Han Hui Hui and Roy Ngerng if they wish to have a more just and caring society and not engage in senseless battles!

Cardboard Auntie Get Bullied By PRC FT. Steal Auntie’s Cardboard.

PRC work permit holders are collecting cardboard illegally in Singapore to earn extra cash, but they are doing this at the expense of local elderly cardboard collectors, says a local elderly cardboard collector.

If the immigrants cannot find the cardboard they need, they resort to snatching and stealing from local cardboard collectors.

These revelations come from a video interview posted by Cinorom Elicebmi III (translated by our reader). During the interview, the elderly woman shared first-hand accounts of how an elderly cardboard collector cut his arms badly when he struggle to take back his cardboard from a PRC immigrant who had stolen it from him.

She also related another incident where a collector, who had spent the whole night collecting a large pile of cardboard, ended up having his whole cart taken away from him when he left his stack unattended while using the toilet.

According to the netizen, some of the perpetrators of these crimes against local elderly cardboard collectors are working for a restaurant named “่€ๆˆ้ƒฝ”.
