China has asked her citizens who are living in Ukraine to stay home or least display the Chinese flag prominently on their vehicles should they need to drive out, following the attack by Russia on the country.
The embassy also warned Chinese citizens about the current situation which has worsened which made security risks in the country higher.
They also told citizens that the Chinese Flag can be placed anywhere on the vehicle.
Done previously in Lebanon-Israel conflict
During the previous Lebanon and Israel conflict back in 2006, Chinese officials and their families had also done the same to their vehicles while escaping from the embassy to avoid being a potential target of attackers.
Changes in stance
China has also stopped asking her citizens to leave Ukraine, changing its stance of asking her nationals to stock up on basic necessities such as water and food.
