Disturbing new developments have surfaced in the death of a 34-year-old Chinese woman whose body was discovered in a canal in Ratchaburi, shedding light on her final known moments before she went missing.
The woman, identified as Ji Cherngchao, had reportedly been working as a party entertainer in Pattaya. Her case has drawn widespread attention after footage emerged allegedly showing her being carried while unconscious and placed into a vehicle by a man.
Authorities are now intensifying investigations, with the case raising serious concerns about cross-border crime and personal safety for foreign workers in the region.
Distress Message Sent Shortly Before Disappearance
According to investigators, Ji sent a brief but alarming message reading “help me” to a friend in the early hours before she vanished. She also reportedly shared her live location, suggesting she may have sensed imminent danger.
When attempts to contact her failed, her friend alerted her partner, who travelled from China to Thailand to file a missing persons report. This swift response helped authorities begin tracing her last known movements.
Investigations revealed that Ji had attended a gathering at a private pool villa in Pattaya shortly before her disappearance. She was reportedly there in a professional capacity, providing entertainment at the event.
Footage Shows Woman Being Taken Away in BMW
CCTV footage reviewed by police has become a key piece of evidence in the case. The video allegedly shows Ji in the company of several individuals before a man is seen carrying her out of the villa.
She appeared motionless at the time, raising concerns that she may have already been unconscious. The man was then seen placing her into a black BMW before leaving the premises.
Authorities believe this individual is directly linked to her disappearance and subsequent death. The footage has since circulated widely, intensifying public interest and calls for justice.
Body Discovered Over 200km Away as Suspect Remains at Large
Ji’s body was later found partially submerged in a canal in Ratchaburi, located more than 200km from Pattaya. She was reportedly dressed only in white shorts when discovered near agricultural land, with signs of decomposition already evident.
Thai police have since identified a 29-year-old suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest. However, the individual is believed to still be on the run.
