
Following the death of her son Justin Lee, who died on 16 September after jumping down from the 12th storey of his HDB block; his mother Cecilia Ow, took to social media to share her thoughts on the matter.
She penned it in the form of a letter that was directed to Minister Shanmugam:
The Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) then issued a statement on their Facebook, saying that they will be investigating the allegations and review the circumstances of the arrest of the boy.
CNB revealed that senior official have been in contact with Ms Ow on the sameday the letter was sent, assuring her of a thorough review of the arrest of her son.
Ms Ow was also given Mr Shanmugam’s contact details as well as the contact of Faishal Ibrahim, the Minister of State for Home Affairs.
They told her that she could contact them any time, as well as arranging for psychological support for her.
CNB added that they will continue to render assistance to her, understanding her grief.
Background
Justin was arrested on 3 February by CNB officers and charged in court with drug trafficking on 24 June.
He later died after jumping down from the 12th storey of his block.
