CONDOM SHORTAGE AS ONE OF THE WORLD’S TOP PRODUCER IN M’SIA UNDER LOCKDOWN

A global condom shortage is coming, the coronavirus has forced one of the biggest condom producers in the world to stop producing condoms.

Karex which is a company in Malaysia is one of the top 5 condom producers in the world.

The factory has since stopped production since the 17 March 2020 after the three factories in Malaysia were forced to stop operations after the Malaysian government imposed a lockdown.

According to a report by Reuters, Karex Chief Executive Goh Miah Kiat said:

“We are going to see a global shortage of condoms everywhere, which is going to be scary,”
