Should i have any children?
Hello:
Just to rant about a family problem of mine. I just got married in November 2022. Recently my sister in law ( my husband’s brother wife) just gave birth to a baby boy.
Ever since the birth of the baby boy, my parents in law have been bothering me and my husband to have a child. We are in our 40s. My husband and i have no plans to have any children as we do not like kids. We prefer to have a quiet two person world, and if necessary stay in a home for elderly if the need arises when we are old.
Lately my sis in law have been sending my in laws photos of her son daily. After receiving the photos my in laws will nag at me saying i am no longer fertile in my 40s and my husband married the wrong woman. My husband is 40 and i am 43.
These days i am considering should i go for IVF or fertility checks just to try for a baby. I have to admit that i really do not want any children and I don’t like them.
Should i just give in to my in laws to try for a baby? I am starting to regret suggesting to stay with my in laws to look after them before i marry. I suggested to stay with my in laws as my mil isnt feeling well with her illness. I am a housewife doing housework and cooking for the entire family of 6.
Maybe we should move out, like what my husband suggested. He said that his parents are nothing but a headache to us. He also mentioned I am doing too much for his family.
