Manchester United Football Club’s star player, Cristiano Ronaldo or known by the initials CR7 has apologised publicly on his Instagram account for the alleged incident whereby he was caught on film for smacking an autistic boy’s phone to the floor.
He apparently did so as he was feeling frustrated that after a game where Manchester United suffered a 1-0 defeat to Everton Football Club.
The whole situation happened when CR7 was walking towards the dugout headed for the dressing room.
Says its not easy to deal with emotions in difficult moments
In his apology on Instagram, he stated that it is never easy to deal with emotions especially in difficult moments but however, one has to learn how to be respectful and patient.
He then apologises for his outburst and sent an invitation to the boy to catch a game at Old Trafford, Manchester United’s home ground.

“It’s never easy to deal with emotions in difficult moments such as the one we are facing. Nevertheless, we always have to be respectful, patient and set the example for all the youngsters who love the beautiful game. I would like to apologize for my outburst and, if possible, I would like to invite this supporter to watch a game at Old Trafford as a sign of fair-play and sportsmanship.🙏🏽”

In the comments section, many saluted CR7 for his actions of apologising and owning up to his deeds.
Some netizens in the comments section also called for CR7 to buy a new phone for the boy.
A few of them also decided to troll CR7 by poking fun at Manchester United’s recent poor form, saying that ‘as if breaking his phone is not enough, he still wants to force the boy to watch Manchester United play.’
