A cyclist on the road was seen in a video punching a car in a fit of rage after being honked by the driver at a traffic junction along Sungei Tengah, resulting in the vehicle being dented.
A Roadside Drama Unfolds
The incident, which has since gone viral, occurred earlier today (10 September) at about 8.45am, when a group of cyclists paused at a traffic junction.
Among them was a cyclist dressed in an orange and black ensemble. As the cyclists waited, a grey car, equipped with a dashcam, approached from behind.
The traffic light had already turned green as the group of cyclists slowly took off, with the cyclist in orange stopping to turn and look at the driver instead of riding off.
The driver of the car then honked twice at the cyclist to get going, to which the cyclist, clearly irritated by the honks, decided to take matters into his own hands.
He turned around and signaled to the driver, gesturing for him to move forward before punching his car twice in a fit of rage.
The sounds of the punches could be heard even from inside the car. The impact was not just audible; left a huge dent of the car’s bonnet.
Verbal Exchanges
The physical altercation didn’t end with the furious blows on the car’s bonnet. The cyclist and the driver exchanged heated words and profanities as they confronted each other.
Amidst the intense exchange between the cyclist in orange and the car’s driver, two other cyclists from the group, turned around and walked towards the driver and the orange cyclist.
The viral video, which garnered considerable attention on social media, ended with the driver of the car stopping under a nearby viaduct.
It is unclear what happened after that as the video then cuts off.
