DEE KOSH SET TO PLEAD GUILTY FOR OFFENCES AGAINST UNDERAGE BOYS

Former YouTuber and radio DJ Darryl Ian Koshy, or Dee Kosh, is set to plead guilty to multiple offences against underage boys, according to his lawyer Joel Wong in court earlier today (25 January).

The 33-year-old man is facing 7 criminal charges, including 3 counts of communicating with a minor to obtain adult services, 1 count of attempting to exploit a minor, 1 count of possession of obscene videos, and 2 counts of making obscene videos.

Dee Kosh is being represented by a team of lawyers from Eugene Thuraisingam LLP which includes Mr. Joel Wong and Mr. Johannes Hadi.

Wong asked the court for 10 to 12 weeks to sort out the statement of facts, to which District Judge Terence Tay then set the hearing date for Dee Kosh to plead guilty to 10 March.

Dee Kosh was not in court and remains out on bail.

Fall from grace

Dee Kosh’s alleged offences first came to light after numerous people claimed on social media that he asked them for explicit pictures and favours.

He had allegedly tried to ask a 15-year-old boy if he could perform explicit acts on his in exchange for money between March and June 2018.

Separately, he is also being accused of offering up to $2,000 to two 17-year-old boys in July and August 2020 to perform explicit acts on him.

Dee Kosh was also charged with offering $2,000 to a 16-year-old boy in February 2017 to perform an explicit act on the boy.

He is also being charged for possession of obscene videos after 23 such materials were found in his home along Woodlands Street 31 on 5 October 2021.

He also purportedly made two videos titled “00001” and “00007” between 2016 and 2017, and the police said that some of the videos that Dee Kosh allegedly possessed showed him performing explicit acts with others.

The videos were allegedly taken without the knowledge of the other party.

The identities of the alleged victims cannot be revealed due to a gag order.
