A man along with his three kids, two sons 21 and 17 year old and daughter 13 year old have involuntary resting at the corridors of Block 17A, Telok Blangah Crescent for over 6 months.
Initially he move into 5 room HDB flat which belong to his aunt, but turned to sleeping on the corridors with his children instead due to the lack of space.This sleeping arrangement of sleeping at the corridor with his kids everyday have been going on for more 6 months.
As the five room flat had already 8 occupants, even though the man had moved into his aunty’s house, there was basically not enough room to lodge the man and his children.The family is not able to rent a flat due to his father is currently not working due to a leg injury said her 13 year old daughter.
Member of Parliament (MP) for Radin Mas Single Member Constituency, Sam Tan Chin Siong after finding out the family was living at the corridors in Sep 2016 had file for aid with the appropriate authorities.
With other organisations who is helping to get a job for the man, the MP is also stepping in to help the man to file for a rental flat.
