Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan met up with Dr AK Abdul Momen, the Foreign Minister of Bangladesh on the 50th anniversary of our diplomatic relations with them.
He shared how he had a good exchange with Minister Momen and that they both commended the many Bangladeshis who helped contribute to our nation building.
He also expressed looking forward to expand our cooperation in many areas.

We both commended the many Bangladeshis who have contributed to our nation building, and for their support of their families back home.
Minister Momen and I had a good exchange on global and regional developments.
We look forward to expanding our cooperation in many areas including trade facilitation, port development and food security.
