A Facebook user Zupi Bakhtiar, shared how an elderly man in Malaysia was seen eating alone at a restaurant after ordering food for about 8 people.
The person who noticed the elderly man said that the old man was carefully arranging the plates of food and iced tea around the table.
They had thought that the old man was just waiting for the rest of his family to show up, but as time went by, they noticed that the old man had already begun tucking into his food without anyone showing up.
The netizen then asked the waiter about the elderly man, who told him that the old man does this all the time by ordering 8 portions of food.
The old man purportedly said that he was diing in with his family, but the waiter doesn’t know if they are still alive.
The netizen’s wife then started crying when the realization hit her, with the netizen noticing that the old man was talking to himself as though he was having a conversation around the empty table.
The waiter revealed that the elderly man would eat by himself 2 to 3 times a week at the restaurant, each time ordering food for 8 people, eating his own share and packing the rest of the untouched food back, after paying for the bill in full.
