ELDERLY MOTORCYCLIST KILLED IN CAR ACCIDENT ON BKE, WOMAN DRIVER ARRESTED

A 70-year-old motorcyclist was killed in an accident with another car on the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) on 3 December.

The incident happened on the BKE heading towards Woodlands on Saturday in the afternoon, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by an SCDF paramedic.

The 35-year-old female driver and 6 of her passengers aged between 1 to 25, were all conveyed conscious to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

The driver was then arrested for careless driving causing death, and police investigations are underway.

The Singapore Police Force said that they were alerted to the accident at about 2.55pm, which was the 2nd reported accident that day along that area, where another motorcycle and car got into an accident on the SLE slip road towards BKE.
