NTUC FairPrice is once again offering free dates and drinks more patrons to break their fast during the Ramadan period.
This is their 14th year into carrying out this initiative at over 60 of their outlets islandwide.
Distribution starts half an hour before and after call to prayer
In its Facebook post, FairPrice also stated that distribution of free dates and free drinks will start 30 minutes before the evening call to prayer and after the call to prayer.
Shoppers can approach staff at the participating outlets to receive their free snacks and drinks at the station with the sign ‘Iftar Snacks’.
Items that will be distributed also varies depending on different outlets.
An outlet was seen giving out free plain water, dates and a fudge bar while another outlet was seen giving out a whole bottle of milk coffee.
