A video emerged online showing a huge group of FWs including women, creating a huge ruckus with shouting and running.
They were apparently fighting among themselves, with a netizen reporting a scuffle between the group.
The group was seen walking in a hurry with some of them stopping to pack up their things, as a woman shouted something indiscernible (probably “stop”).
Police apparently called
The cameraman was heard in the video talking on the phone, and he was presumably on the phone with the police reporting about the fight.
The group was seen running in the direction away from the cameraman.
The incident purportedly happened at Kaki Bukit, although the reason for the fight remains unclear at the time of writing.
Potential punishments
According to Chapter 224 of the Penal Code, anyone who disturbs public peace by fighting in public is guilty of committing an affray.
Upon conviction, offenders could face a jail term of up to one year, a fine of up to $5,000, or both.
