
A fire broke out at a shophouse earlier today at 31 Teo Hong Road.
The SCDF was alerted to the fire at around 11.15am.
Firefighters donned breathing apparatus to fight the fire as thick smoke was seen billowing out of the fire.
The SCDF said that the fire at the ceiling on the 3rd floor and the attic of the shophouse was put out with 3 water jets.
A Combined Platform Ladder was also used to fight the fire from above.


During the firefighting, the ceiling on the 3rd floor of the shophouse reportedly fell onto 2 firemen.
Both firefighters were in full personal protective equipment (PPE) including helmets, and were swiftly evacuated.
One of the was conveyed conscious to SGH while the other remained on site to received treatment for minor scratches.
Another firefighter who was a full time NSF, was sent to SGH for heat exhaustion.
The cause of fire is under investigation.
