A foreigner recently posted on Facebook on how he was appalled with the hotel standard after travelling to Singapore during the Covid period and was quarantined.
Here was what he stated in his post.
Count yourselves lucky people in Fairmont, Shangri La, Ritz Carlton, etc. You could have ended up at Festive Hotel Resorts World Sentosa, which is one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. Dingy room, filthy dirty when I arrived (thank god for disinfectant wipes), inedible food so far, and no attempt to make life comfortable for inmates (no water, 1 mug and no other plates or glasses, a fridge that barely gets cold even after being replaced).
To the Singapore Govt – subjecting new arrivals to this kind of facility really creates a terrible first impression of your country! We’re not illegal immigrants being held in detention! I’ve seen plenty of earlier complaints about this hotel but they’ve clearly been ignored. Appalling.
