FURNITURE SHOP DELIVERS BED BUT PARTS MISSING & DELAYED FOR 3 MONTHS

I am not someone who would post negative comments/remarks online. I believe that the online space would be better off with more positivity and joyous affairs.

However, I am left with no choice but to detail my horrible experience with Miyamiko (https://miyamiko.com).

Earlier on in Jan 2022, I was searching for a bunk bed for my 2 boys and chanced upon their website. We considered a few others but thought that their prices were reasonable and dimensions were suitable for the room as well well. I contacted them thru WhatsApp and they were very responsive to queries and requests. They even offered to throw in 2 free mattresses claiming that it’s CNY promotion. After some consideration, we decided to purchase the bunk bed and paid for ther item in full (which I later regretted).

Initially, they claimed that item would be delivered BY Mar. That suited my renovation timeline. However, they soon claimed that there’s delay and from Mid Mar, it became end of Mar. We didn’t kick up a fuss as at that point in time as there was indeed some delay with certain shipments from China due to COVID -19. The item was finally delivered on 26 Mar and installation scheduled on 27 Mar. I had already shifted into my new unit by then and my 2 poor boys had to make do with mattresses on the floor (which is the same situation now).

On the day of deliver, to my horror, there were no mattresses delivered as promised. The situation was made worse when the 2 installers claimed that there are 4 wheels and 4 knobs missing from the package. On top of that, there were visible cracks and defects on some parts of the bed. The pictures would be able to illustrate my frustration.

The sales person who corresponded with me claimed that the mattresses and accessories have been shipped out but did not give me a definite date. While they claim that the missing items have been shipped out, I was not given a reply on how the defects would be remedied. My latest message to them had also gone unanswered. It’s been about 3 months from the day I paid for the bed in full and 2 weeks after the installation and my 2 boys still do not have a proper bed to sleep on.

It has left me with no choice but to air my grievance online and warn potential consumers of the horrifying service which Miyamiko provides. (They are also selling their items on some online platforms)

I will be filing a official complaint with Consumers Association of Singapore – CASE. If anyone has any other suggestions on how I can seek redress on this matter, pls let me know.
