In his Facebook post (May 26), he said that the advertisements are using his photo to promote the product.

The fake ad claims health benefits such as “stabilising blood sugar”.

In his Facebook post he wrote:

There is an ad going around, using a photo of me to promote a tea that claims to stabilise blood sugar.

I have not endorsed any products. Do also remember to be on your guard against such product claims, and to always consult your doctor on your medical condition.

This is not the first time advertisements have used the photos of public figures to “promote” their products. Previously, Health Minister Ong Ye Kung also warned of a similar kind of advertisement which used his product.
