GF CAN’T STAND BF’S NIGHTLIFE JOB, MAKES A ‘SCENE’ AT HIS PUB EVERY TIME

My partner works as a bartender at a pub in Clarke Quay. I had no issue with his job, in fact I was quite proud of him for making a living out of his hobby, instead of always paying for drinks.

What I couldn’t handle was how he interacted with the female customers.

I had no problem with him being friendly and professional with everyone, but I started to notice that he was going the extra mile with some of the women.

He would chat and laugh with them, and seemed to be always flirting. It made me feel uncomfortable and I knew that I had to talk to him about it.

I had tried to talk to him about it, but he just brushed it off and said that he was only being friendly.

I knew deep down that he was doing more than just being friendly with some of these women, and it made me really mad.

I was so angry with him that I started to go to the pub every time he was working. I would sit at the bar and watch him, hoping he would do something inappropriate so that I could confront him about it.

I was so mad that I made a scene every time he interacted with a female customer. I would yell and scream at him, and make a big fuss in front of all of them at his workplace especially after I drank.

This went on for a while, until one day one of the other customers had enough and told me to leave. I was so embarrassed and humiliated, but even so I did not want to back down.

Things got worst as my bf pulled me out to talk to me and shouted at me for always acting like this, he totally lost his temper at me for the very first time.

We had been together for about a year and I had never seen him scream at anyone.

Still angry at whatever I have seen, I hit him and screamed back at him. I couldn’t control my tears.

He then threw me an ultimatum, saying that if I could not take it I could always break up with him as he was really just doing what he had to do and couldn’t stand it every time I made a scene.

We’re in a cooling off period now and as much as I love him and don’t want to let him go, I don’t think that I can ever find a way to get pass this barrier of mine.
