A netizen, @spacepotatocat, shared how she was forced into being a spirit medium at a temple, who saw that she had an “ability”.

Forced into being a spirit Medium at a culty temple
My dad’s temple was grooming and manipulating me into being a spirit medium, without my consent. They saw that I was apparently born with some “ability”, and if I don’t become a spirit medium too I will be harassed by the spirits.
I was given so many talismans to burn and drink, and they did some scary rituals where I had to sit in front of the altar and “something” moves me around, shaking my head and my body violently.
Ever since then, my body has been very sensitive to spirits. I can feel spirits trying to enter my body, and move my limbs/head.
The past few months I was like in a semi-trance and agreeing to everything they said.
Ever since I took a break from going to the temple, I woke up. I have since severed my ties to that temple.
However, I still feel like spirits are hanging on to me. Is there any way I can protect myself, or any place that can help me remove them?
It was at one of those small “Taoist”/folk religion temples, where mediums go into a trance in front of an altar with lots and lots of consecrated idols.
