Facebook user Julie Xu posted online that she tore her honours certificate up in front of her mother because her major was in Design and it “meant nothing” to her mom.
Julie added that: “I tore up the certificate because I tried so hard for the wrong reason, that my parents would be proud of me following my own dream.”
