My (22f) roommate (26f) constantly farts in her sleep and I don’t know how to approach this. Please help!
So I recently moved to a new place and I have a new roommate whom I met after moving. She’s a sweet girl and we get along great but over the last few nights I’ve been here, she has passed gas multiple times in the night.
Sometimes it’s loud and sometimes it’s not, but there’s always a horrendous stench. It doesn’t even smell normal, it smells so bad that I’m worried she might have some health issues.
It also makes it extremely difficult for me, especially because we make it a point to lock the bedroom door (for safety reasons) and the windows are kept closed.
I’m literally typing this in bed right now because she’s already let out twice and I’m dreadfully waiting for the next one.
I want to approach this with her for both of our sakes but I don’t want to embarrass her. How do I go about this?

- have you tried a diffuser? febreeze? nose plugs? this will be highly embarassing for her and if i were you i would exhaust all possible options of coping by yourself. maybe even a physical barrier like a privacy partition would help. its gas so it wont obviously fix it completely, but it might help a little.
