Thailand one of the top tourist destination of the world is implementing a 500 baht (SGD$20) tourism fee per person that will begin next year.

Currently the fee is 300 baht and the additional 200 baht will be used by the Thai govt to help with country restructure.
The Thai govt said that the fee is not due to the pandemic and the plan was alreadey in motion since early 2020.
Thought no exact dates of the collection will be announced yet, it is expected to begin implementation next year.
Departure tax is currently at 700 baht.
