GOJEK DRIVER SHOUT AT CUSTOMER WITH WHEELCHAIR!

gojek1On 3 Jan 2019, my parents and I called a GOCAR to St. Luke’s hospital. My mum is wheelchair bound, but there was nowhere to enter comment in the GOJEK app. So Imessaged ‘wheelchair’ to driver before he arrived. Upon arrival, driver stopped on the opposite side of the road from our block within the carpark. We signalled him to make a U-turn, since there is only one way out of the carpark which is the same way he came in. He seem reluctant, but did so anyways.

Getting on, we take some time as usual to get mum into the car and fold the wheelchair to load into the back of the car. Unlike most private hire drivers we had before, this driver never get out of the car to help with the loading.

Upon arrival, there were three cars in front of us in the lobby, all unloading patients. Driver then wanted us to get off the car with the car halfway in the lobby. We said we have to get off in the lobby, obviously for safety reasons. At this point, he flared up. While waiting for the cars in front to move, he started shouting and screaming, complaining about me not informing him about wheelchair (???), we keeping the door wide open for too long for mom to get in and out of the car, causing the aircon to leak, calling us ‘stupid idiots’ and saying ‘You think your $9 very big?’, screaming ‘GET OUT!’. I only managed to capture his shouting at the end, cos I was helping mum get out of the car. His verbal aggression before that video clip was taken was even more intense.

This is the first time we encounter such rude and unreasonable driver with zero compassion towards the elderly. I have feedback to GOJEK, but to date, I received no reply.

Anyone thoughts, anyone?
