Gong Cha is coming back to Singapore! After closing down and subsequently replaced by LiHo. We were wondering if our bubble tea fix will ever be fulfilled.

On June 26, Gong Cha released a surprise statement indicating that they are coming back to Singapore. The co-founder of Mr Bean, Mr Kang Puay Seng, will be the director of the company after selling his shares to the other co-founder.
The ex-management of Gong Cha, who broke away from their parent company, Royal Tea Taiwan, who also sold off their shares to Gong Cha Korea, created LiHo after the sale. It was indicated that Gong Cha’s return is not a competition with LiHo and is not here to start a rivalry.
