A chilling shooting incident in Klang has gone viral online after CCTV footage surfaced showing two gunmen firing three shots at a residential home in the middle of the night. The brazen attack occurred in Sri Sentosa Garden Phase 19, located in the southern part of Klang, leaving residents alarmed and netizens criticising the state of public safety.
The incident reportedly took place on the night of 24 July at around 11:07pm. Surveillance footage captured two men on a motorcycle loitering near a row of terrace houses. After circling the area, the rider stopped in front of a house, and the passenger jumped off and fired three shots directly at the neighbouring home — the third shot being delivered after taking a few steps closer to the gate.
Clean and Swift Execution Raises Alarm
The entire shooting lasted only two seconds, after which the suspect immediately hopped back onto the waiting motorcycle and fled the scene. Despite continuous barking from nearby dogs, the attackers seemed unbothered and completed their plan without hesitation.
The swift and precise nature of the shooting — carried out without any obvious panic or distraction — has prompted comparisons to gang-related violence seen in parts of South America. Several Malaysian netizens took to social media to express frustration, with some claiming Klang now resembles “Colombia” in terms of crime.
“Is Klang still Malaysia or a war zone?” one comment read. Others called for more police presence in the area, especially at night.
Police Confirm Incident but Withhold Details
When contacted, the South Klang district police confirmed the shooting had occurred but did not release further information. Authorities said the case is still under active investigation and a public statement will be made once the facts are verified.
Following the incident, police were seen conducting overnight investigations and evidence collection at the scene.
At this point, it remains unclear whether the shots caused any injuries or damage to property. The motive behind the attack has also yet to be established, adding to the unease felt by residents in the area.
