A netizen shared how he was “doing it” with his girlfriend when he accidentally moaned her sister’s name because their names are too similar to each other.
He had mispronounced his girlfriend’s name in bed and now she thinks he is cheating on her with her sister.
Here is the story:
To all couples, please don’t ever make such mistake by giving your children names that rhymes so closely to each other’s.
Recently my girlfriend had a big fight with me just because I mispronounced her name by moaning her sister’s name when we were doing the deed.
FYI, this is how close their names are (not their real name though) – Wen Wei and Wen Hui.
For God’s sake I don’t even have feelings for her sister, it’s just simply a mispronunciation.
This awkward incident got me thinking about how couples should never name their children similar sounding names that rhyme. In this day and age, it is all too common for couples to pick a name for their baby and then pick a name for their next baby that rhymes with the first one. While it can be cute and funny, it can also lead to a lot of confusion, especially as the children get older and start to talk.
I’ve seen this happen in my own family. My aunt and uncle named their two sons, Michael and Mitchell. They thought it was so cute to have two kids with names that rhymed. However, when their sons were old enough to talk, they had a hard time keeping their names straight. One would say, “Mom, I’m Mikey,” while the other would say, “No, I’m Mikey.” This type of confusion can lead to a lot of stress and frustration.
Editor’s note: This is beyond embarrassing.
